There is no way that Planning Commission will be on tonight.
Did you check out the traffic? How bad it is since 11AM. Also I heard
that there was a an accident by "Moose Lodge."

Sorry about this problem with the highway is increasing by the minute.
Take a look at Palmetto Avenue, Beach Blvd. People are angry can't wait
anymore. They are driving crazy and not thinking straight.

Some needs to call channel 5, or channel 2 to report that if case of major disaster
Pacifica is not the place to be. Highway 1 improvements "Lets get on it"

So ridiculous and behind progress.

Call Peter Loeb and thank him for his vision.
Truly he and his gang of geniuses have made Pacifica what it is today.

Somebody at Caltrans should go to jail for today's fuckup.

Laughing reading these comments.
Traffic brought to you courtesy of... CalTrans!
No notice... and understatement of the year... "Motorists can expect minimal delay."
Ha!
Be careful who you put your faith in.
Yes, THANK YOU Peter Loeb!

You all do realize that this is what we can expect every day for a couple of years if the widening is done, right? They should put the frontage road in the quarry before they even think of doing any more work on that stretch of highway, that way there would be an alternate route during construction.

It's a good thing Pacifica has a strong mayor.

She was sitting in an air conditioned office yesterday using Google and Wikipedia for research.

As you all muswt remember, when the Devil's Slide Tunnel was under construction, the work was done at night. I have heard that the same methodology would be used to widen the highway with additonal work being done during non-commute hours. Yesterday was a nightmare for us working on the Coastside.

Yea keep suing, Peter Loeb!
You are doing wonders for our town.
Keep us in the dark ages.
Pretend that it's still the 50's.
Act as if the world's population is decreasing.
Ignore that we are on the precipice of bankruptcy.
Keep bleating that it's all about snakes and frogs.
Don't forget to request payments for Bohner's brilliant lawyering.
We are all so indebted to you.......literally.
oh yea! and don't forget to reward all your wacky faux-enviro friends, especially Lancelle, Digre, Keener, Curtis, Hall,.................

Any person who thinks that what happened yesterday isn't a preview of what our lives will be for at least two years if the misguided widening plan gets off the ground should market and sell whatever happy pills s/he is taking cuz I want some!!

There is no way to widen an existing highway that only involves some disruption at night/off hours. I can't tell you how many times I have sat in traffic for AT LEAST an extra hour on my way to Healdsburg on the weekend because of the work going on in the Petaluma area. Even though the work isn't normally taking place when I am traveling, the roads are still a mess because the crews don't just pick up their toys and trucks and reopen the sections on which they are working when they leave for the day.

Cal Trans tells us that widening Highway 1 will save just a few minutes a day -- during commute hours -- in each direction. Meantime, for at least a couple of years, we will have to endure a version of what happened yesterday. Very few of us driving today will live long enough to make up that lost time in increments of just a few minutes per day.

Finally, lest people either did not know or have forgotten, below is what Cal trans promised the disruption caused by the Pedro Point bridge replacement project would cause. Can anyone truthfully say these estimates are even close to being accurate? Even in the same universe as accurate??
