Plan Pacifica meetings, Monday July 1, and Tuesday July 2 - RSVP includes dinner

City of Pacifica, Connect with Pacifica this Week, Kevin Woodhouse, City Manager, 6/28/19.

.... Attend one of the upcoming Plan Pacifica meetings to give your input into the City’s General Plan Update, Local Coastal Program Update, and the Sharp Park Specific Plan. Two meetings are happening next week on Monday and Tuesday nights, July 1 and 2, details below. And if you cannot attend one of the five community meetings, there are other ways to give input throughout the process. Visit the project website to learn more.

Plan Pacifica - we want to hear from you. You are invited to help Plan Pacifica's future at a series of community meetings to discuss the General Plan, Coastal Plan, and new Sharp Park Specific Plan!

In early 2019, the City of Pacifica began the simultaneous process of updating its General Plan and Local Coastal Program, and developing a new specific plan for the Sharp Park area. The General Plan is the City's most important planning tool, and has not been comprehensively updated since 1980. Now, it's time to create a new plan which will guide the City for the next 20 years or more. Through these meetings, we are asking YOU to tell us what is important to you. The first meeting was held this week, with great success. There are still four more and details of dates and locations can be found below. You can learn more about this project at www.planpacifica.org.

Whether you are a resident and/or work in a given area, or an invested resident from another one, everyone is welcome to help Plan Pacifica! This event is FREE! Please RSVP to help us better plan. Child care and a light meal will be provided at each meeting. Doors open at 5:45 pm. RSVP here.

I have a plan!
Letter from Connect with Pacifica This Week/Kevin Woodhouse, City Manager, from City email 6/21/19, "Help shape the future of our City."

While there is a long list of fun and engaging events (highlighted below) that are upcoming as we roll into summertime, please take note of the five community engagement meetings scheduled for the City’s Plan Pacifica effort, which includes the General Plan and Local Coastal Program updates and development of a Specific Plan for the Sharp Park neighborhood. These Plans are tools for shaping the evolution of Pacifica so it best serves and delights its residents. We need your input to make these plans the best they can be!

The first of these meetings will occur next Thursday evening, June 27, 6:00 pm at the Community Center at 540 Crespi Drive. Dinner will be provided. You are encouraged to RSVP so we can best plan the meeting. The project site at planpacifica.org provides information about each project, including ways to participate, project documents and City contacts. I encourage you to participate and help shape the future of Pacifica.
