"The Manor post office
quietly reopened last week without any fanfare, quite unlike the
dramatic vehicular accident that closed it last September when a driver
accidentally ran into it.
.... Post Office District Manager Gus Ruiz explained the delay. 'We
had to work with the landlord and our facilities people. While we were
working through all this, we needed to make sure our customers were
taken care of. Finally we got it fixed. It had to be right and we had a
lot of documents that we had to review and others had to sign off on.
There was a lot of red tape that we had to go through. It took longer
than anticipated,' he said.
.... 'We
opened July 19 on a trial basis to see if the network was going to work
after we took everything out of the mobile van. On the first day, we had
a glitch, but now we are open. We want to apologize for the delay. It’s
not our building. Counters had to be custom made and the construction
all had to meet city code,' she said." Read article.

Remember the building had severe structural damage. Being it was opened in about a year was pretty remarkable.
As we all know nothing happens fast in Pacifica.
It would have been finished much earlier except the building plans were sent US Mail.
What structural damage? Pleas describe. I saw nothing during the repair that looked structural.
Custom counters made of plastic laminate over pressed wood can be made by almost anyone in 4 weeks or less.
Are you claiming that Pacificas building department process for a refurbed store front takes a year?
God help us all if this is true.

Obviously you didn't look before the interior construction and remodeling was taking place. Do you know a car ran into the building?
Go down to City Hall and pull the permit and read it.
Please post here the details of the "structural damage".
Structural damage is defined as damage which makes the structure a danger to the public in that it may fall down and kill or injure someone.
