Reminder Planning Commission tonight, Monday June 20, 2016

1.  Continued Public Hearing.  Code amendment allowing licensed massage establishments permitted in certain commercial districts.
2.  New Public Hearing. Construction of a 3,898 sq.ft. 3-story family residence, 300 Coral Ridge Drive (a vacant lot).
3.  Consideration.  Information report. Emergency Coastal Development Permit to temporarily post up to 10 signs on public trails to keep away from bluff failure at 220-222 Palmetto Avenue.

Pacifica, CA- On June 16, 2016 at about 2:40pm the Pacifica Police Department was
dispatched to 200 Rockaway Beach Avenue (the Pacifica Motor Inn) on a report of a domestic
violence incident. Responding officers were told the victim was assaulted and that a male
subject responsible for the assault was currently at the bus stop along Highway 1 at Fassler
Avenue. The victim also informed the dispatchers the suspect had a loaded firearm in his
waistband.
Officers arrived on scene, located the suspect at the bus stop and detained him without incident.
During the course of the investigation a loaded semi-automatic handgun was located in the
waistband of the suspect. The suspect was positively identified as Eddie Hegwood, a 21 yearold
male subject from San Francisco. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics and
did not request further medical attention.
Hegwood was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on the following charges:
Penal Code Sections- 25850(A)- Possession of loaded firearm in Public Place, 25400(A)(2)-
Possession of a concealed weapon, 245(A)(2)-Assault with a Firearm on a Person, 273.5-Inflict
Corporal Injury on a Spouse/Cohabitant, 422-Criminal Threats, 417(A)(2)- Exhibit Firearm, and
496(A)- Possession of Stolen Property.
This investigation is ongoing. Refer to report 16-1851.
