3-D model of latest quarry plans
The quarry developer had a 3-D model made of his latest plans, which are close to what he envisions, though still not absolutely definitive. Click on the image to expand it.
He's hoping to find a place in town where it can be put on public display, e.g., libraries, community center, City Hall.
You'll notice the utility road running alongside the eastern part of the quarry. Assuming the road gets built, it's not yet clear if it will be open to all traffic or a limited number of vehicles, such as public safety and utility vehicles only.

Hotel is too small and so is the conference room. It is also too far away from shopping at the commercial area. Bungalow's are a polite name for "one day we petition to convert to sfr and sell for a mint". And the are even farther away from anything. Ridiculous layout, project, and vision. Not inspirational and a B- project at the most.
B-, man you are generous. The dense packing of the residential buildings looks like an inner city project development. I sure am glad we could help put a stop the the entry on Highway one several months ago. At least this shows the culvert restoration was indeed a cover to bore a side road into the property.
And it still looks like a bunch of Monopoly pieces hot glued together.
Tom, are you an architect or a planner? or are you just another one of Pacifica's so called experts at everything?
Project keeps getting weirder. Model shows new road entering and exiting highway right in the middle. How is that gonna work?
apartments look like a prison block... and the quarry owner's own website does not show this model, so we are left to guess what a better close-up view might show.
Most people could do better with Lego's and a 12 pack!!
I wish there was more commercial and less wetlands. Gonna' be tough to satisfy everyone, though.
All these geniuses make me sick.
Andres Duany is a world class architect and civic planner with particular emphasis on pedestrian friendly mixtures of commerce and housing. We had an opportunity to create one of the finest live/work environments with public recreational space intertwined. BUT NOOOOOOOOO............
Vreeland, Lancelle, Digre, deJarnutt, Loeb, Bray, Curtis, Verby, Hall, Goldberg and all of their nutty friends who know so much more than anyone else decided for us that it wasn't right for Pacifica. When are we going to stop listening to these negative city killers and lift Pacifica up out of the toilet.
They want another doggy poop park and a place to smoke pot, meanwhile the city is broke, we have no revenue generation capabilities, there is no affordable housing and our entire infrastructure is rusting away.
Thanks geniuses.

When are we going to stop listening to these negative city killers and lift Pacifica up out of the toilet.
NEVER! Peter Loeb, is doing what he knows is best for Pacifica for the past 40 years!
Anon 3:30 we totally agree with you. The NIMBY nuts never saw a building they liked. They must live in tents or outdoors and must hate living in houses...oh, WAIT a minute - what - they DO live in houses? But wouldn't that be selfish and hypocritical? If they had their way, the Sanchez Adobe would have never been built.
A few NIMBYs over on Nextdoor are up in arms that the developer installed some poles in the quarry to show people the borders of the proposed development.
They want to report him to the Coastal Commission. Sheesh.
You're not allowed to criticize this project unless you're an architect or a planner.
If you don't like this project you're a selfish NIMBY and negative city killer. Got it. No criticism allowed.
Move to Bodega Bay NIMBIES. There's all kinds of people like you up there. They even tear down the road sign giving directions to their commune. You'd really be happy there. Please go away so Pacifica can heal. Please.

Appeal, Sue, spread false information.
This has to be Todd Bray and Peter Loeb!!
Move To Daly City or San Bruno or South City or any place over the hill if you don't like Pacifica the way it is.
216, no we all live here. This is also the city of reasonable people. It's a given this city needs a balanced economy, with progress and fairness for all built in.
That's not what we've had with decades of NIMBY neglect, and reckless lack of civic accountability.
As 915 says, "please let Pacifica heal". Stay, but become part of the solution, rather than an ongoing drag and drain on the function of our city and it's economy.
It's very difficult, if not impossible, for the one dimensional thinkers of this town, i.e., PSD/FOP/PH1A/PT&T, to comprehend any rendering in three dimensions.
2:39
The two flat areas are they future development sites? Or is that the reclaimed wetlands?
Just remember to lay on your horn between valleymar and rockaway, both directions. That's what they get for living in "paradise"
2:16
Love Pacifica the way it was. Just hate what you are doing to ruin it.
You have no clue and no class. Dirty hovels are for dirty people. Get lost!
We want our city back.
5:11
I like that idea. Most of the dirty hippies who are ruining Pacifica live in Rockaway and Valleymar. While you're at it pull over and take a shit in their front yards just like they do with their dogs all over Pacifica.
TOTAL RECALL!!!!! P.S. I CAN'T STAND DALY CITY IT IS A HELLISH TOWN THAT LAYS IN THE WAY BETWEEN SAN FRANCISCO TO PACIFICA.
Craig 717, we do the best we can with our NIMBY limited City infrastructure.
Then again, Pacifica is too often a nothing, "hellish town" if you want to buy something, need a doctor, want better control your "environment", and services such as a local Fire Department.
Daly City is better if you're looking for an apartment, want to work somewhere, choose to gain the advantage of college, profession, and trade classes.
Daly City roads look better than ours.
The range of Daly City commercial development is much broader than ours. Fewer NIMBIES there keeps down development obstruction.
Their City Hall is modern, and way more functional than ours.
San Mateo County governance likes them better than us. Stuff like that.
Additional taxes to improve our limited city infrastructure and revenue shortfall might help. How about raising a bunch more taxes to bridge the permanent open space financial gap and liability in this city?
That's the most unimpressive, underwhelming project model I've ever seen. Or, did someone just take a really bad photo of it? This is Pacifica so let's check both those boxes. Bring on the next sucker.
Hey, maybe they can park the model on Wagners behind and he can parade it around town with his business PAC buddies..
Toddler,
Surely you meant to say park the model on your behind so there's enough room to display all of the open space.
3:05
The visual makes me want to super glue my eyes shut!
5:11
Good one!
Toddler, me thinks you have a secret man-love for Wagner. You sure seem obsessed with him. I think it's cute.
Now back to the project. I don't think anything would please the no-nothing group. Ask them what they would put there and they say whatever you propose it won't be that but we'll know it when we see it, Next.
Me thinks you need help. Intense help!
