Alister MacKenzie's Sharp Park Golf Course / Another Anti-Golf Lawsuit Dismissed / Recovery Work Begins

1.The above-attached press release summarizes three recent developments in the long-running dispute over the future of the historic Sharp Park Golf Course, a San Francisco municipal course located on the beach in neighboring Pacifica, CA:

1.        San Francisco Superior Court on May 28, 2015 dismissed a lawsuit, brought by anti-golf activists under the California Environmental Quality Act. 

2.       California Coastal Commission on April 16, 2015 granted a development permit to San Francisco for a habitat recovery/golf course protection project at Sharp Park; and

3.       U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on March 25, 2015 dismissed the anti-golf groups’ appeal from the District Court’s December, 2012 dismissal of an Endangered Species Act lawsuit to close the golf course.
