How did the PC meeting go? Who drew the short straws as far as terms?

I believe that 5 of the 7 members selected by Council were lawyers.
Council stated that it was important that the Planning Commission represented a fair cross section of Pacifica's population.
So if I've done my math correctly that means that 27,142 lawyers live in our quaint enviro coastal town.
Who da thunk.

Evans, Vaterlaus and Brown are not lawyers. Cooper is a contractor who also picked up a JD along they way. The other 3 are practicing attorneys. Still, that's a lot of attorneys for one little commish in one little town.

Some of the non-appointees were attorneys too. It's not a conspiracy, but more a reflection of who applies.

Who applies effects who is selected which determines how the thing works. I don't expect much change in the way this commission works. Outside of the commission some streamlining of the admin process has occurred and that may provide real improvement if it limits what comes before the Planning Commission. Fingers crossed.
