Measure A highway 1 and other city infrastructure improvements

Better, you could walk,
I could take your lunch over the hill.
The following article is a follow-up to Councilmember Mike O'Neill's Chamber of Commerce city infrastructure speech, 5/22/13.  Only Measure A highway projects are mentioned below, but the article mentions other projects, including the Beach Boulevard project, street repair, sewer collection system, pier maintenance, fishing pier maintenance, Esplanade storm drain and cliff deterioration, etc.

Pacifica Tribune/Jane Northrop, 6/4/13.  "Council member updates community about Pacifica building projects."

.... "The San Pedro bridge repair program is being funded through Measure A funds. Voters passed a half-cent tax in 1988, then renewed it in 2004.

Measure A funds are also available to fund the controversial proposed highway widening between Fassler and Reina del Mar, but City Council must formally authorize the request for funding once the final environmental impact report is completed. Caltrans is expected to release the final EIR this month. Two plans are under consideration. One adds a lane in each direction and a shoulder and bike path in each direction. The other plan under consideration adds a landscaped median in addition to a lane in each direction and shoulder and bike path each way."  Read article.
