Goodbye 2012

San Francisco Chronicle/Justin Berton, 12/30/12. "Chronicle's top local stories of 2012."
Coyote outsmarts Road Runner almost *

So long, 2012. And don't let the "fiscal cliff" hit you on the way out.

In the Bay Area, the biggest news stories of the year had all the familiar themes - crime, political scandal, money.

But this year, more so than in the recent past, it was largely about the money. California voters, tired of underfunded schools, approved more taxes. Facebook went to cash in its chips and tripped at the cashier's cage. The Bay Area's real estate market tightened up and those rituals of the past - bidding wars - returned with vigor.  Read article.

Related -  The New Yorker/The Borowitz Report/Andy Borowitz, 12/30/12, "Senate outraged at having to work weekend to save nation." “We’re hearing a lot about the country plunging back into recession and millions of people being thrown out of work,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky). “What we’re not hearing much about is how our Sunday is being completely and irrevocably ruined."

Rumor has it that the Coyote (pictured in this article) once lived in the back canyons of Pacifica (aka: GGNRA property).

Any articles about Pacifica or related to Pacifica, or otherwise of interest, sent to the blog with your identification and good intent are posted, and appreciated. Want a picture, send that too, with a caption if you wish. Steve Sinai, Blogmaster, will post your article email that is sent to fixpacifica@gmail.com.

More participation by you out there, and less by me is definitely on my wish list for 2013. (And its on the wish list of some of you as well). So get busy, you know the events and activities of interest to you and others in Pacifica. We want your Pacifica information. This is up to you, not me.

Anon complainer, take your cue from the coyote Ms. Meeh mentioned.
Coyote used to live here. Town is dead. The party is elsewhere.

so what are the goals of fix pacifica for 2013?

More council breaking news? More city filing bankruptcy news?

Any plans to take the blog into a new direction?

This is a volunteer blog, and you get to be accountable. That's your "pay".

Oh, the coyote's are definately back in the valley. There are numerous dens scattered around. They get real active when the pups are born. Especially fond of cat. One plus, the racoons leave. Coyotes leave when the mountain lions show up. I'll leave when Godzilla shows up.

Someone probably has to pay you to brush your teeth too. No bad breath.

"See how that works" (your comment).

Here's a thought... In 2013 instead of posting all the off-topic articles, just don't post as much. It will improve the signal to noise ratio, and we'll all win.

Are you commenting on an "off-topic" article, without censorship? "Win, win".

Yes, I was commenting on your off-topic article to beg you to embrace your inner editor as a new year's resolution. That would truly be a holiday miracle!
