Lipstick on a pig

I love that expression - it always makes me think of Sue Digre (with no offense meant).  So , I imagine that when Sue Digre decided to run for re-election to the city council (oh no, not again!) she rummaged around the basement until she found those old "Vote for Sue Digre" signs and set them up all over the city, but forgot to dust them off and remove the cobwebs, dents and dings.  Such ugly signs!   Despite her noble claim of integrity, etc.,  Councilmember Digre has got to be the most ineffective person, next to Pete deJarnett of course, serving on the city council.  I pray that she is not re-elected.  Its not even funny anymore.

Marian, welcome to the bold world of political sarcasm on Fix Pacifica, well deserved by "they who stayed way too long" city council 4. And, good work for our city population if we can vote-out these city council incumbents (Digre and Vreeland).

I liked your prior "No on Vreeland" post as well. And, your art work is looking very good (both the rocks and other abstracts).

Well, there's one supporter of the "our environment is NOT our economy" incumbents-- predictable (no offense intended). Anyone for pork chops?

Oh alright Meehningless, you too. Vile, ugly, hateful, etc.

"Meehningless...vile, ugly, hateful, etc." but at least not Anonymous.

Figured-out the State propositions yet? Let's see how smart you are.

Sue Digre has absolutely accomplished nothing. When she speaks she says nothing. Her little pep talks in the Tribune are laughable. Clueless! No substance. For quite a while I didn't think she was a real person. Then I ran into her at the Chit Chat Cafe about 7 years ago which confirmed her existence. The only positive I can think of is her list of past failures is very anemic compared to Vreeland's. Gosh, I'm having a great day.

It's not Sue's fault she couldn't get anything done. It's everyone else's fault.

Right, Anon. I guess "Not my fault" is her campaign platform. What a joke on us voters if she and Vreeland get re-elected.
