Will they be serving pb&j?

This is a total ambush by the Gang of No.
Every one of these sponsoring groups has either already endorsed Campbell or been responsible for the fiscal collapse of this town.

Anonymous said...

just say you agst eveything. Leave your brains at the door.

Anonymous said...

I call on all candidates to boycott! Like you said, this is a total farse and all the groups already know they support Campbell.

On the other hand maybe the stoner hippies might vote for the wrong person.

Anonymous said...

Ok let me explain something to you infidels.

Men eat meat, drink beer, watch sports, fart.

Ha Ha stoner hippies.

That was funny

Anonymous said...

The gang of we take everything out of the city and put nothing back in.

The local hippies are a drag to the local economy. Oh wait they cost the city millions of dollars in lost revenue due to stopping every project that came down the pike.

Oh wait they gonna talk about the quarry. Oh boy!

Maybe Ian, can wear a cap you know to hide that huge head of his!

Here are the answers to all questions. Everyone can stay home.
1. quarry--open space, zero revenue.
2. rt 1 widen: take a dog cart.
3. golf course: open space, no revenue
4. climate control: maximum homeowner control; jack up remodel costs; let beaches erode; rt. 1 gets cut; golf course inundated. Adios!!
5. all other questions will be answered by John Curtis. Resistance is futile.

I plan to attend and pass around a tray of my delicious plover puffs. Maybe some pate de plover and crackers. Sharing food brings people closer.

Anonymous said...

I bringing some pb&j's. Maybe I'll toss some before I get tossed.

Anonymous said...

Food fight!

Anonymous said...

Ok some lady is dancing Pakistani or Indian dance?

Where is the hippie summit?

Anonymous said...

Ian better not quit his day job!

Anonymous said...

Can you bring two jars. Smooth and crunchy.

Kathy Meeh said...

Well this is annoying, no live feed of the Eco city council candidates forum. Happened with the Chamber forum as well. Should be on PCTV video clips later. Maybe someone who attended will report back.

Anonymous said...

Hey someone plug in the camera.

And you people think these people can run the city?

Anonymous said...

Massive failure by the hippies.

This is what happens when you let a stoner run things!

Anonymous said...

No one had a quarter to put in the slot to start the damned.

Now do you understand why everyone laughs at Pacifica!

Anonymous said...

Chamber couldn't get it done live and now these yoyos.
Why bother?

Anonymous said...

Just as with the Chamber forum, It was never programmed by PCT to be shown live.

Anonymous said...

See these things cost money.

And we don 't have any.

Fred Howard and Peter Loeb turned the city into a beg for grants city.

And they are both so proud.

Pacifica Index said...

Pacifica Index will provide a write-up tomorrow.

The forum was as well attended as the Chamber of Commerce event.

Both Gary Mondfrans and Mike O'Neill were absent; Mondfrans has been in the hospital, no idea why O'Neill wasn't there -- he was expected to attend.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of eight questions were asked; four from one of the local environmental groups and four from the audience.

Look for specifics tomorrow on the website.

I'm going with why bother?

Anonymous said...

"Live" is the only thing these bore-fests have going for them.

Anonymous said...

Pacifica Index comes in and trumps them all.

Pacifica index 3

Fix Pacifica promised to fix Pacifica, and they have not broke one scandal or bit of malfeasance from City Hall.

Riptide well they are all stoned caught in the rip current.

"Fix Pacifica promised to fix Pacifica.." Anonymous 4:30 AM

No, we share information. Did you promise to "fix Pacifica", Steve? I don't remember that. Is it possible that Pacifica can even be fixed?

Oh I get it Anonymous 4:30AM, you're just promoting anonymous Pacifica Index. There is room in Pacifica for various sources of information. But no reason set-up an "all or nothing" contest in your brain about that.

Personally I never completely trust anything that is anonymous, your comment or their website. I like to know who I'm listening to and dealing with, guess that's just come kind of fault, oh well).

Steve Sinai said...

Fix Pacifica was never intended to be a site for investigative journalism. It was started as an alternative to Riptide, where people felt their views and comments were being suppressed if they didn't agree with those of Riptide's editor.

Kathy Meeh said...

^^^ 8:25 AM 3rd sentence. "some". some kind of fault

Hutch said...

Thanks for Fix Pacifica Steve and Kathy.

But did my comment get taken down yesterday? Maybe I'm mistaken because I'v forgotten what it was. No I'm not stoned.

So I see the Chamber is supporting ONeill, Velone and Nihart. Bottom line, we can't let Campbell win.

Hutch

You didn't get censored. The post just got deleted cause the management doesn't bury posts they don't believe in.

Kathy Meeh said...

"Did my comment get taken down yesterday?" Hutch 9:36 AM

The following is the only recent comment from you, I found in the spam folder:

"Was my comment taken down because I said "stoner hippies"? Or was it that Campbell is as bad as Vreeland? Wow this is getting like riptide. Steve I got the "hippies" moniker from you." The article was "city council candidates forum, tonight." However, there was no prior comment to reference in the spam folder or on the article. So where did your prior comment go? Got me. We don't have it. And BTW Anonymous 10:05 AM, the number of comments I delete are ZERO.

Steve Sinai said...

I wouldn't have taken something down because it used the term "stoner hippies."

Hutch, if you can remember what the comment was, you can resubmit it. If it was deleted, it was inadvertent.

I wasn’t surprised to see the Pacifica C of C endorse Nihart, Vellone and O’Neil for council. But after watching the candidates form I couldn’t honestly give the thumbs up to Susan. Besides Campbell I actually think she did worse than any of the candidates. Since she was past president the C of C obviously had to endorse her. Unfortunately they loss a bit of credibility in the process. They might be better off staying away from endorsements.

Hutch said...

Thanks Steve. And I was kidding about the Riptide crack.

PCT was unable to air all of the three forums at the Council Chambers live, therefore they decided that to be fair they wouldn't air any of them live. They will however be airing tomorrow's forum at PCT studios live at 8:00. (Thursday Oct. 4th)

The environmental forum will air prior to that at 6:00. In addition, it will rebroadcast Sunday, Oct 7th at 12 noon, and Thursday, October 11th at 5:30.

Hutch said...

Yes Ian, that song was great! It was nice to meet you.

hmmm, i thinkith a councilman is worried about vellone getting on council. she will be a no vote for him becoming mayor next year. and rightly so. manipulation of information and the outcome of the election is unacceptible. it is very obvious that there is a faction working very hard to make sure the slate is on track. i vote for vellone and o'neill. at least they have integrity and a soul.

In order to balance and work on the city's finances I would think your own finances should be in order.

You know a good household budget, don't spend more then you make, pay the bills, have money left over in the bank.

Instead of borrow spend borrow spend borrow spend.
