What is United Nations Agenda 21

Agenda 21 is a United Nations joined effort to sustain the earth and the people on the planet. That's all it is.

From the United Nations Agenda 21 website.
Agenda 21
UN 1992 reaffirming Stockholm Declaration  1972

"Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.

Agenda 21, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the Statement of principles for the Sustainable Management of Forests were adopted by more than 178 Governments at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, 3 to 14 June 1992.

The Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was created in December 1992 to ensure effective follow-up of UNCED, to monitor and report on implementation of the agreements at the local, national, regional and international levels. It was agreed that a five year review of Earth Summit progress would be made in 1997 by the United Nations General Assembly meeting in special session.

The full implementation of Agenda 21, the Programme for Further Implementation of Agenda 21 and the Commitments to the Rio principles, were strongly reaffirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 26 August to 4 September 2002."

No Communists found under this rock *
"United Nations General Assembly "Rio Declaration on Environment and Development" (from the Agenda 21 link above). "The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, Having met at Rio de Janeiro from 3 to 14 June 1992, Reaffirming the Declaration of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, adopted at Stockholm on 16 June 1972, a/ and seeking to build upon it,  With the goal of establishing a new and equitable global partnership through the creation of new levels of cooperation among States, key sectors of societies and people, Working towards international agreements which respect the interests of all and protect the integrity of the global environmental and developmental system, Recognizing the integral and interdependent nature of the Earth, our home..."

Related Agenda 21 for change. "Agenda 21 provides options for combating degradation of the land, air and water, conserving forests and the diversity of species of life. It deals with poverty and excessive consumption, health and education, cities and farmers. There are roles for everyone: governments, business people, trade unions, scientists, teachers, indigenous people, women, youth and children. Agenda 21 does not shun business. It says that sustainable development is the way to reverse both poverty and environmental destruction."

Comment related to an Anonymous blogger who is repeatedly "looking for Communists under every rock." Anonymous said ".. support (of) the communist Agenda 21," see San Carlos Transit Village article, 10/22/12, 8:08 a.m.   Whereas, Agenda 21 is a joined partnership effort of the United Nations governments to sustain "environment and development" (not "Communism")

question is, is, HOW do they pla n to implement Agenda 21 and what rules and regulations have already been put in place and put to work in achieving Agenda 21 global equitable sustainable goals? When you find the answer it may explain many changes and trends that have been going on. Changes that are pushing society back to a place where food and energy are scarce and costly. Pushing people back into the cities in order to survive.

What are those green sustainable regulations Pacifica has imposed on all property owners that could make or break you? At the same time imposing property owners to update their unilateral sewage pipe that leads to the city pipe? Robbing the middle class homeowner. Gov Brown has stated he will roll back California Cap and Trade because it is a strangle hold on the very way that we live and can survive as a state ( we have lots of people on entitlements and no way to pay for them). All those EPA Regulations are Agenda 21. So don't think you and Yahoo! can change this into a radical Tea Party Agenda. It just happens that the Tea Party are the Party of the US Constitution and recognize the we are a Sovereign Nation. Wake Up! UN Agenda 21 is ANTI-American.

"Sovereign nation" Anonymous 5:49 PM? So are the other 178 nations who signed the 1972 and 1992 United Nations Declaration. We are one nation of many on this planet.

Positively involving our country with scientific knowledge and advancement with the rest of the world is not ANTI-American.

The Tea Party is regressive, and has built its movement based upon on allegorical myth (lies). The Tea Party is financed and supported primarily by polluting corporate money that has a larger agenda to advance, that of their own wealth. Frankly these same wealthy benefactors could give a damned about those of you who are their "little people" pawns, many of whom are part of the 47%.

People have always gravitated toward cities, Anonymous 2:24 PM. That's where the jobs are. That's where high quality services, business, and civilization exists. Not everyone wants to live in a single family house. A mixed-use transit hub with available living and access to efficient transportation is a solution.

At least the UN does many things to fix the world.

Feed the hungry, try to end senseless wars.

What have you done lately?

Anonymous said...

You are a fool if you believe that the UN feeds the poor. The UN does nothing but steal money from developed countries and puts it in their leaders pockets. That is what the UN is doing.

I dare you to research the people who lead and control the UN. Check out their backrounds and the InHumane Brutal Violence they have done to their own people. Yes. It is true. Thankfully, we have many in congress, Jim DeMint for one, that when they see Rep DeMint coming, all those commies scrable and hide.

Here is one example of UN Agenda 21; Snowy Plover. Making you believe that the Earth will suffer because Snowy Plovers can not breed. What they are essentially doing is keeping all humans from enjoying the beach. Pushing civilization away from ALL COASTAL TOWNS. Pacifica is one of the last vestiges of freedoms. Can't have that. UN Agenda 21 is about controlling humans and taking away our freedoms, and nothing to do with clean air. Sharp Park Golf Course, will forever remain on their target unless we, as the people, get rid of UN Agenda 21.

“In July of this year, major media outlets- this is in our complaint- published news reports indicating the EPA is intentionally delaying the issuance of controversial new regulations till after the November election. I’m not going to read you the whole thing, just relevant parts. These news stories suggest several troubling possibilities, including the Obama administration is improperly politicizing EPA activities, EPA officials are attempting to shield their true policy goals from the public, and or EPA officials themselves are putting partisan interests above the public welfare."

UN Agenda 21 is a template. It is being implemented in the United States under the policies of "smart growth" and "sustainable development". These are top down central planning initiatives that are being promoted by our own government, HUD, EPA, and DOT. They are being forced on local cities in the Bay Area by MTC and ABAG, regional agencies that control the federal transportation $. This is being done under a law called SB375. Every city in the Bay Area will be forced to follow this template and all cities will start to look the same with Transit Oriented Development (TOD), high density housing near mass transit. That is not the way most Americans want to live but they will have little choice in the future.

Rich Campbell is for smart growth!

Terms like "Smart Growth" and "Sustainable Development" can mean anything. Therefore, they're meaningless.

In Pacifica, they've been used as anti-development code phrases, since no growth is ever deemed "smart," and no development is ever viewed as "sustainable."
