San Mateo County - 6/5/12 Spring ballot taxes

"More taxes" to benefit San Mateo County
"Four tax measures will appear on the June ballot in San Mateo County, asking for an increase in a variety of vehicle fees and a parcel levy. The following breakdown shows what voters can expect on the ballot and beyond, should the measures pass.

Measure T - Business License Tax for Vehicle Rental Businesses, 2.5% gross receipts on vehicle rental in unincorporated San Mateo County.
Measure U - Transient Occupancy Tax, 2% hotel (from 10% to 12%) in unincorporated San Mateo County.  

Measure X - Parking Facility Operators Business License Tax. 8% business license tax on parking facilities operators in unincorporated San Mateo County. 

Measure Z -  Special Tax for Extended Police and Structural Fire Protection Services.  Extend police and fire services to unincorporated Highlands. Cost to parcel owners cost $65, duration 4 years."
