Pacifica Patch/Police and Fire/Renee Schiavone, Staff, 8/19/16. "DUI checkpoint planned in Pacifica this weekend. Police announce DUI/driver's license checkpoint."
Having such a good day until now. |
'Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment while also checking drivers for proper licensing,' officials said in a news release. 'This will only momentarily delay motorists. When possible, specially trained officers will be available to evaluate those suspected of drug-impaired driving, which now accounts for a growing number of impaired driving crashes.' Sgt. Dave Barranti said that over the last three years, DUI crashes in the Pacifica area have claimed two lives and resulted in 21 injury crashes harming 22 people total."
