Sneaky Pete, Oh Sneaky Pete, has anyone seen Sneaky Pete?
He was probably home watching the Giants games. He never liked it when meeting ran past 9:00 P.M>
How many unexcused does Pete have now? The guy has missed almost as much as Vreelang.
They should be docked pay for missing meetings. Also, you miss too many and you lose your health coverage or cafeteria cash.
Why are we paying for health insurance and pensions for a PART TIME POSITION anyway? This is a sleepy little town, not Bell Ca. Or is it?
Yep, he's fading fast. Unexcused? You've got to be kidding.
Didn't these mumsers promise to give up their cafeteria cash two years ago? It was more than $10K each per year. We won't know for sure what they really did until that salary report for 2011 hits the state controller's website. How's that for transparency in government? Have individual salaries gone up or down? Not just council, but how about the rest of the club? Pray tell us, Mr. Chang.

How many unexcused does Pete have now?
Mayor DeJarnatt has been absent from three meetings so far this year and has also left halfway through two others. We believe all three absences have been excused.
We have a brief summary of last night's proceedings on our website should anyone be interested.
Pete's done. What would you expect, he's done nothing for 14 years, or whatever number of years, why should he do anything now. He's been a zero all along but a reliable vote for the no-growthers. And some wonder why Pacifica is going broke. Go figure.
You were expecting a strong finish from Pete? Plenty of grinnin' and spinnin' last night without him.

Mayor Pete DeJarnatt was a no-show (though he was spotted in the parking lot just minutes prior to the start of the evening's proceedings). This marks Mr. DeJarnatt's third absence this year. The Mayor has also left halfway through two other Council meetings this year.
C'mon people, do you know why he wasn't there? Instead of sitting behing your computers and slamming someone, why don't you ask him. I think you'd feel pretty silly once you knew why he wasn't there.
While I do agree that there has been too much absenteeism by some council folks that has gone unchecked, I am simply suggesting that one should get the story before making comments.......just one person's opinion.
Is Pete on the same hooch that the other one was/is on?
They should not be paid for missed meetings.
And a PART TIME City Council should NOT be getting ANY healthcare, pension or cafeteria money.
NO job in the real world pays these benefits to part time employees.
Sure they do, Hutch, just never to you, I guess. Surely you remember the ho hum response this council made to the absentiism issue a few months back. Pete's leaving. It's a non-issue.
