City Council goals, credit to Mayor Len Stone

Mayor Len Stone gets credit for City Council goal setting.  Goal setting is a City Council improvement.  However, in the past City Council evaluation of City Managers and City Attorneys has occurred periodically, officially and unofficially. The compliment to Mayor Len Stone in this Letter comes from  Bill Collins, an activist member of the Loma Prieta Sierra Club.

Comment Trojan Horse
Pacifica Tribune Letters to the Editor, 1/29/13.  "Government Changes." by Bill Collins

"Editor:  There's several important new changes in our city government which haven't received enough attention. For too many years, the City Council has evaluated neither the City manager nor the City Attorney, and goals were not set.

These useful processes will soon be underway, resulting in better governance and more accountable staff. Bravo to Mayor Len Stone for helping to make these improvements.

It's unnatural. What's next? Todd Bray organizing Rhodes' going away party?

In the past City Managers and City Attorneys being "evaluated" by City Council usually means they are on their way out.

Bad boy, Bill Collins probably agrees with larger plover corrals, and disagrees with highway widening and highest/best use quarry development.

Council can set all the goals they want but there is very little money to play with.

The city must send $1.4 mil back to the state.

Bankruptcy!

don't be ridiculous. bankruptcy would be a solution. these boneheads don't do solutions. but if a city employee gets a job offer elsewhere i say gogogo!
