Boost Pacifica tourism, how about Rudy?

SF Gate Blog, 1/6/13. "Camel escapes ranch twice, blocks road."

"A dromedary wandered through a broken fence and onto a rural road near Bay Point twice Tuesday, blocking drivers and prompting a pair of  lasso retrievals, authorities said.
No cow stopped these cars

I'd like living in "open space" Pacifica
The camel, named Rudy, escaped first around 3 p.m. and again around 7 p.m. Each time, he found his way through a fence surrounding a ranch between Bay Point and Concord and meandered onto Bailey Road, said Lt. Joe DeCosta of Contra Costa County Animal Services.

Rudy belongs to D and B Land and Cattle, DeCosta said. California Highway Patrol officers and Pittsburg police responded, but it was ranch hands from the farm who lassoed Rudy back onto the property each time. Rudy wasn’t hurt, DeCosta said. Farm animals often escape through fences that are broken or damaged, often because of car crashes, DeCosta said. Usually, however, the animals are cows." Note:  Picture from  claycord.com blog.

Baypoint we'll trade you straight up all our plovers for your camel. We got fences, too, and sand. Lots of sand. That camel will feel right at home.

Can you see Rudy on LMBeach? Wonder what USFWS would make of it? Fences, we'd need fences. Much taller fences.
