Sharp Park Sea Wall Closed For Renovation

Blogmaster's note: I normally won't post things sent in without full names, but I received the following and it seemed pretty harmless.

.....

These notices were posted on both ends of the seawall west of the Sharp Park Golf Course. Could it be that somebody is actually trying to fix (a very small piece) of Pacifica? Maybe fixing some of the erosion rills identified in the December 2009 ARUP assessment of the seawall?

How much repair work can get done in such a short time ? I would imagine very little other than some cosmetics; maybe replace a few rusted railings clean them up a bit.

I hope they're filling in some of the potholes and mud puddles. Bummer when you ride through one on your bike.

Does this refer only to the levee? Filling in the holes dug by all those cute little critters?

The work must be on the levee as the sign was posted by San Francisco Park and Rec. Don't think their too interested in doing work for Pacifica along Beach Blvd, so gotta be work on the levy.

Who can forget the Great Squirrel Kill-off on the levee from a few years back? SF did it because the squirrels were chewing up the levee. I think it was squirrels. Big uproar about all the dead squirrels. I don't know why. Ain't nuthin' going to keep Pacifica from being squirrelly. Squirrelly and proud of it!
