Throwing clean recycling into one big bucket and NOT sorting that is "dirty work"?

City council I think you took your discount beginning 4 years ago when you voted yourself a CASH option in lieu of Cafeteria Plan health insurance-- gives a new meaning to City clean-up.

Hello...Recology of the Coast is trying to make the green experience easier for the customer by placing all recyclable materials you sorted into the three bins into one large container. Even your cardboard boxes should go into the blue cart. The food waste goes into your greenwaste cart along with your greenwaste.

Chris,
Question that came up today regarding window-envelopes. You know, the glassine windows.
Trash? Recycle?
Help us out.

Chris Porter, General Manager, Recology of the Coast said...

Hello all...Glassine window envelopes can go into
into the recycling blue cart.

REMINDER TO EVERYONE...THE GREENWASTE TOTER IS NOT YOUR GARBAGE CAN. YOU HAVE THREE CANS, YOUR REGULAR GARBAGE CAN, THE GREENWASTE/ORGANICS CAN WHICH IS GREEN AND THE REYCLING CAN WHICH IS BLUE. YOUR REGULAR GARBAGE CAN AND THE GREENWASTE/ORGANICS CAN GOES OUT EVERY WEEK AND THE RECYCLING GOES OUT EVERY OTHER WEEK DEPENDING ON YOUR BLUE OR YELLOW CYCLE.

E-MAIL IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR CALL ME!

@Chris Porter, General Manager, Recology of the Coast:

Very impressive start for the new bins - NOT. Fairmont homes on my block (and adjacent blocks)were instructed to put out the blue recycle bins for May 5 pickup. Unless we're all color blind and can't read, what the Hell happened?

BTW, I finally figured out how to fit the oversized blue recycle bin in my small garage. I park my car in it.

So true! We have to haul that monster thing around the back, up some stairs and park on our back deck. Just getting it thru the back gate is almost impossible. Rediculous.
