Park Service delays GGNRA dog management plan

The dog management plan for Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which has been fought over as vigorously as a scrap of prime filet at a dog park, is on hold for the indefinite future.

Instead of signing off on last month’s supposedly final version of a document that has been in the works since 2002, the National Park Service released a statement late Monday saying it will delay any decision on when to implement the plan.

The statement comes as the federal agency reviews emails being produced in response to Freedom of Information Act requests from dog owners who don’t want to lose access to trails and beaches where they now can let their pets run free. The request dates back to 2015, but plan opponents filed suit in April to speed up the pace of release.

“I think they’ve finally taken a concerted look at what has surfaced,” said Chris Carr, a partner at the law firm Morrison & Foerster, which is representing dog owner groups opposed to the plan.

“My view is that the process has been fatally tainted by the bad-faith conduct of the GGNRA and its staff.”

In some cases, Carr said, emails haven’t been released because park service employees claim to have forgotten passwords to systems where older ones are stored.

The emails released so far include sarcastic comments by employees about opponents of the tightened restrictions — such as one staffer’s presumably flippant suggestion that he broke his middle finger “expressing my opinion of out of control off leash dog visitors.”

IMPORTANT REMINDER...Lancelle, Loeb, Verby, Keener, Deirdre, Digre, Bray, Hall and all of the rest of the bullshit enviros have stated many times that they plan to work very hard to cause the gifting of the Quarry to the GGNRA. Once again this cult cares nothing about you or anybody else's rights. They only care about, "I got mine, screw everyone else."

Don't forget the machinations to push Nihart out of the council orchestrated by the same mindset as the ones putting with the dog park. These people have no shame.

NOBY's are the enemies of Pacifica.

Wait. I'm confused. Are the Nobies the ones who want to allow dogs in the park or keep dogs out of the park?

Please be clear on this 2:05, the nobies are the ones who killed any chance of us getting a reasonable, accessible dog park in Pacifica. They even killed Sharp Park Dog Beach after it was unanimously voted for by the 2002 City Council! They always cite environmental reasons for killing the project, but they are never legitimate environmental issues. For example, they will state that the Western Snowy Plover nests in Pacifica and that the species will go extinct if we allow dogs on the beach. The undisputable truth is that USFWS has never declared ANY area in Pacifica as critical habitat to the WSP, which it would have if they did indeed nest here. And believe me, the nobies have pulled out all stoppers in a futile effort to bully USFWS into doing so, including reporting false sightings of plovers nesting and protecting their eggs in Pacifica. They have even managed to fence off areas of Linda Mar Beach in the name of the plover. By law, LMB deserves no more protection for the WSP than your own driveway or backyard. There is critical habitat and then there is everything else. The nobies have proven that almost anything is possible if you play the environmental card and don't care about the truth.

So if you want to walk your dog on GGNRA land and you want a dog park, you're not a nobie.

Mary Ann borrowed a friends dog for her campaign photo!

Oh in that case.....it's a good thing Deirdre and her puppet masters suppressed the vote and screwed Mary Anne out of office.
Can you believe a candidate for council borrowed a dog for a campaign photo? She should have been kissing babies.

You can be both, I think Laurie Goldberg is. It's called having your cake and eating too.
