A Rich Supporter

Editor:

I am supporting Rich Campbell for Pacifica City Council and I hope you do, too. Rich has had a stellar tenure on the planning commission. Under his leadership the commission worked with the owner of the Pedro Point Shopping Center to get nicer signage, and has given approval to the kinds of businesses that Pacifica needs, like The Surf Spot. This town has been divided between a pro-environment community and a pro-business community. While standing strong for the environment, Campbell is the rare candidate who understands that for Pacifica to have a thriving business sector, we need to capitalize on our strengths as a beautiful spot and as a place for us locals to spend our money. His plan for smart growth is unique in its ability to actually work. It is one thing to say you are for development, and another to have a thoughtful understanding of a realistic path to viable business development consistent with our town's strengths.

Every shopping center in Pacifica needs better signage. To waste the taxpayers time and money to do only one shopping centers signs is a complete failure.

Another nobee trying to dictate city policy on all the other taxpayers.

When your accomplishments boil down to approving new signage and so few businesses that you can mention them individually - that's not much of a record to run on.

It's like a fisherman who's caught only three fish in the last year, and then brags about what a great fisherman he is.
