The out-of-state tax "free party" is almost over

ABC 7, KGO TV, San Francisco/Associated Press, 8/31/12.

"California will hire dozens of specialists to enforce a new law requiring Internet merchants to collect state sales tax - an effort that could bring in more than $300 million a year for the cash-strapped state.

The state Board of Equalization, which collects taxes, announced Thursday that it will spend $10 million over the next three years to hire nearly 100 new state auditors, lawyers and other specialists for the effort.

....  Brick-and-mortar stores, who must collect taxes of up to 9.75 percent, had long argued that was unfair competition.

....  The Board of Equalization estimated that more than 2,000 out-of-state online retailers may have to collect state taxes under the new law but it will take time to identify them.

....  Amazon.com, the nation's largest online retailer, agreed to start collecting state sales taxes on Sept. 15."   Read Article.

Will this new tax help pay for all the New California State Licenses that will be issued to all the Illlegal Aliens that the California Legislation and the Governor Brown signed into law?

I can't wait to start paying for all of this free entitlements for the 10 Million Illegal Aliens in California. My children can't wait to pay for these entitlements either. We are such a generous state. Meanwhile, all illegals are forced to register as a new voter for the democratic party. This is great news for all citizens.
