Program Details:
1. Matched savings account (2:1 match on savings up to a $4,000 grant).
2. Funds can be used for:
• Home purchase
• Small business
• Post-secondary education
• Retirement
3. Free classes and support sessions:
• 10 hours of financial literacy classes (saving, budgeting, credit and investment)
• 4-6 hours of goal specific training (ex: how to purchase a home)
• Bimonthly roundtables on various topics (nutrition, parenting, etc.)
4. Free Financial Coaching sessions
Once a month for 6 months
Eligibility Requirements:
• Live in San Mateo County
• Be a single female head of household (with at least 1 dependent 18 years or under)
• Have earned income and steady employment history for the past 2 years
• Limited net assets
• Gross income must be at or under 60% of Area Median Income (AMI) Household Size
