Scary and preventable, 20th century undergrounding of utilities should be part of city infrastructure for the good of the people. "Our economy is our environment" = potential death by electrocution, and another 21st century 7 year city council "empty pockets" failure.

Good point Kathy Meeh!

Let's, for a moment, forget the danger the down power lines present to the citizens, pets and wildlife of Pacifica as well as the property damage incurred. Likewise, let's not mention the blight that the power lines bring to our community. Did you ever wonder what the realized and hidden costs of the extended power outages we experience year after year, whenever a storm hits our extremely vulnerable coastal town, that are directly attributable to the overground power lines? But nothing ever changes in Pacifica. Nothing...

I like the electric system the way it is. If people always lose their electricity in Pacifica, it means unsustainable, greedy people and evil, greedy businessmen won't come here. That's good for the frogs, the snakes, and most important of all, reduces global warming. It's a win-win!!

The power lines also give snowy plovers a place to perch and stay out of reach of evil, unleashed, killer dogs. The electromagnetic energy that flows through the power lines will give the frogs and snakes brain-cancer if they are put under the ground. It's a scientific fact! I read it on Wikipedia.
