ACORN may advocate those causes you posted, but they have done a very lousey job and have not made any progress for the poor.

ACORN has done an excellent job of supporting and campaigning for President Obama. An organization that gets millions of Taxpayers money should not be involved in politics.

Write to your Congress people and Senators and ask them to stop ALL taxpayers federal funds from going to ACORN.

They also supply financial support to PIMPS, PROSTITUTES and CORRUPT POLITICIANS.

ACORN needs to stick to what they advertise; pulling weeds for poor old people and bringing them food.

Call your Congress people and Senators and ask them to stop taxpayers federal funds from going to ACORN. They currently are under investigation for VOTER FRAUD and STEALING TAXPAYERS MONEY that cannot be accounted for.

Organization that lobby on government SHOULD NOT GET TAXPAYER MONEY.

Except for Wall Street finance millionaires and Blackwater military contractors. Fox News tell me that's OKAY.

KooKoo Kathleen is correct. Wall Street Financiers should not have received one penny of our federal money.TARP was a scam. The American people have been robbed. It has disappeared and cannot be accounted for.

Congress has said so.

How about some unbiased, legal or real main-street researched proof of what you say. I don't see it in your biased political activist blogs.

Also, really poor (down and out) people may live at a different survival standard than people who have their basic life needs secured. Also, its really unfair to generalize the behavior of one individual to that of an entire group of people, or Acorn as an organization.

It is equally unfair to compare the folkways (mode of thinking, feeling or acting, customs) from one class of individuals to another: Lower-classes vs. middle-classes, middle-classes vs. upper-classes-- there are some significant variations in our expectations, upbringing and behavior.

Kathy, we could have a huge discussion about your last comment regarding the significant variations in people's upbringing, etc....but this is not the forum.

ACORN was very political during the election time prior to Obama being elected and he has very strong ties to them. There is lots of evidence of wrong doing but if you choose not to believe some of the reports, that is your choice, too.

What I will say, is that we are blessed to have been born in the United States of America where you can be and do anything if you desire it. Expecting someone else to support me, buy me a house or give me anything for which I did not work for is not where I am coming from. If I ever needed anything, I would hope my family would come along side and help me. The government is not supposed to be your family. We, the government, should not be helping people buy houses they cannot afford.

And that is exactly what the founders and Pres Obama intended ACORN to be for, the redistribution of Americans Hard Earned Wealth. He even said so. Not rich democrats wealth, like Pelosi, but middle class wealth. Communism. It ain't nothing but Communism. Laugh, call me names. But, it will not change what almost ALL of Americans are thinking right now. And, if you have an independent mind, you will do your research of what this organization has really done and the backrounds of the people that founded ACORN. The founders do not care that they hurt the innocent who believed that ACORN was legitimate. Until then, this blog and anybody supporting ACORN have lost all credability with me. I cannot ever support you and your candidate. EVER. I have tried over and over to look at candidates instead of party, but as long as there are blind ignorant people that continue to support politicians that steal from Americans, well then, maybe we need to talk about a revolution or a civil war, because that is surely what will be happening. The American people cannot take much more of this. I'm done. FixPacifica my ass.

ACORN was organized in 1970, when Obama was about age 9, guess he was planning and plotting all this "Communism" from then.

I'm pretty sure the research will show that the distribution of wealth over the past several years has systematically gone to the top income population rather than the reverse, but if you say otherwise you're welcome prove it with statistics from legitimate sources.

Poor people need a big hand-up, education, training-- so does the middle-class of this country. And, think you will find plenty of corruption through-out the political, government, legal, and economic systems of this country.

Sure, probably the Democrats are mostly responsible for the social "safety net" which helps keep hungry people from starving, sick people from dying on the street, and desparate people from breaking into the homes of others. These safeguards are human, good for the social fabric of this country.

By communism do you mean "a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed", or "an official ideology of a totalitarian system of government"? (Merriam-Webster). BTW, this is 21st century America, we don't do revolutions or civil wars any more-- don't like who is running the country do what you can to vote them out-of-office.

To Fix Pacifica, we need to vote them out-of-office in 2010-- and the focus is not national, but city. The problems we have here are local, affect each of us and are non-partisan.
