Planning APPROVED the project at 135 Stanley as well as the one at 500 San Pedro Ave.Each project was appealed; then the appeal withdrawn. Why would Casillias appeal his own approved project? Makes no sense to me. Think it's more likely that a neighbor or two filed the appeals and then withdrew them.Last I heard, the cost for filing an appeal was $1000 which might explain the reason for the withdrawals.

1047 That sounded like common sense. Knock it off.

I would like to congratulate Sam Casillas regarding his new home extension.
I am not sure that why a lot of our neighbors are against every single change in this gorgeous city.
I read most comments and could not distinguish any logical reasoning and how to digest them.

For our neighbors against constructing mansions in Pacifica .... Adding 900 square feet to an existing 1965 square feet house is not a mansion.
Pleas travel to our neighbors cities in the Bay Area. There are tens of thousands of 6000 -11000 square feet homes that will be considered a mansion and not an appx 2600 square feet home. Sam is not an out of state individual and he is a caring Pacifican who would like to develop this beautiful city.
We should never put ourselves in a position to dictate that what size of property an Individual should live in ... It is not our business and we are not living in a communist country which others dictate to us what should be the size of our homes or cars. This is absolutely rude and not acceptable. We do have sufficient laws and regulations and codes to protect our nature and environment through our City and State and Federal.
Sam had a great comment about our very fancy "Taco Bell" restaurant... Until when should we travel to our neighbor cities like Burlingame, San Mateo, Belmont, San Carlos , ... To find a decent restaurant or cafe or any kind of shopping ?
It bothers me that every sigle month and on multiple occasions I spend my money at other cities and make them wealthy while our city suffers from budget issues and so forth.
Let's change this mentality for once and encourage others to invest in our city and have a wealthy city who can afford to have good roads, good library , ... etc.
Nobody at Pacifica likes skyscrapers or so and that is why we all live here but at the same time we need decent restaurants, hotels , ... And all other basic necessity in our city.
I hope that one day this mentality changes .
