Build it! The City needs the commerce,
and the housing. Oh, and fix the traffic
too by widening the highway 1.3 miles.

Expect NIMBY attitude,
lack of cooperation,
limited vision, and
the usual dirty tricks.
"Seeking information about what Pacificans want to see in the Quarry, the new owner conducted a telephone survey of local residents last month. ....  “We are evaluating what the best path may be going forward. We tested any of the various developments that you could do: retail, entertainment, hotel, conference center and residential developments.

.... The poll surveyed 250 residents who represented Pacifica’s demographics. ....  No final decision has yet been made about what potential development to present to residents or to the city, he said.

....  There will soon be a website set up to offer residents a chance for feedback about any potential development at the Quarry. “So far it’s been really positive. Everyone would like to see something at the Quarry site as an amenity that is helpful to the whole community. Different people have different opinions about that,” he (Jeff Flint, a public relations consultant with FSB Core Strategies) said."  Read more.

Note photographs and comments.  Intent to trash quarry development from a new NIMBY website calling itself Rockaway Quarry, organization (coming soon?), figures.  Pacifica quarry by Bob Pilgram from NO on L.  And here's the big thank you for defeating the proposed 2006 quarry commerce and housing development, also from that website, No on L. This City struggles to function and these anti-development NIMBIES simply don't care, disgusting!
