with these buildings gone, we have left many children, elderly and disabled displaced. maybe we can put the envirementalists, the new homes, and the animal resue centers on hold for a while and concentrate on THE CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, AND THE DISABLED.AND PROVIDE HOUSING FOR THEM, WHICH IS SO NEEDED. they should come first before anything else

I always see a lady living in her car at the Manor Safeway. I don't know if she was displaced by the Esplanade demos, or just chronically living in her car and parked there. The Resource Center should reach out to her.

she could of been, the resource center is contribution funded only, and has limited resources, usually food, and safeway certificates, and referrals to red cross ect, which is also limited. the apts on esplanade were much needed and tong and samsami provided many elderly, disabled, and all of any race and gender a good place to call home . the city has been approving more for dogs, birds, wetlands, and new homes, rather than considering human beings that live in pacifica. it would be nice for the city to consider citizens of pacifica in need first , and put other issues on hold. birds always find a place to call home, they adapt very easily and have for thoushands of years, and they do it freely, without paying a penny. the wetlands in pacifica have just turned into an infestion of mosquitos and dog poop, so that was a waste of money, and the new homes will just cause more traffic congestion , and i heard the new owners want to add an inlaw, which be bigger problems. when Jesus was around, he did care for all types of these people i have mentioned, and i do feel for them, and for the owners of the buildings.

The city's hands are tied because there is no money.
The NIMBY's and NOBY's have used every trick in the book to keep it that way for their own selfish benefit. Maybe if Lancelle, Digre, Vreeland and deJarnutt hadn't "misplaced" $4,000,000 while pandering to their faux-enviro friends there would be some money to help these folks.
