I knew that
"The march of erosion continues down the coast as a section of the blufftop just south of Mirada Rd. fell into the sea earlier this week. A popular bench near the beach apparently dropped to the beach as was swept away and the blufftop is now several feet closer to the existing coastal trail in the area. Pilings from an old pier have been exposed as the sand has shifted away from the nearby beach."

The county will continue monitoring the road while it seeks a permanent solution to address the erosion. It is considering road stabilization..."  Half Moon Bay Review/Julia Reis, 1/27/16, "Riprap repair. With riprap installation done, stabilization eyed." (updatred from the 1/22/16 article).  "The work was meant to address erosion on the Miramar street, which is home to several residences as well as the Miramar Beach Restaurant and Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society."
