Pacifica Tribune/Jean Bartlett, 2/4/14. "A Valentine's invitation for those who love to sing."

"Thursday, Feb. 13, the 2001-formed Seaside Singers are inviting interested vocalists to their informal program and open house at the Mildred Owen Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. The choir will present songs in the theme of love.

Wishing you a Happy Valentines Day !!!
"Come hear us, talk to us, and join us for some Valentine refreshments," said Judy Tugendreich, the choir's director. "We are a small, committed ensemble and we love to sing."

The choir, currently at 18 members, performs a range of choral music, from madrigals to modern, at such venues as Pacifica Performances, the Pacifica Pier, the Parish of St. Peter, various Bay Area libraries and bookstores, and a number of senior living facilities, including the Sequoias in Portola Valley, Pacific Oaks in Pacifica, and Westborough Royale in South San Francisco.

Weekly rehearsals are Thursday night at the Mildred Owen Concert Hall. They can use voices in all sections, and need voices that will blend in a group. Prospective singers are checked on sight-reading skills, and must present a well-known melody to assess pitch accuracy and tone. Call 359-6097 for more information."

ReferenceSeaside Singers. "The Seaside Singers are a small chamber choir. We enjoy learning and performing a varied repertoire of choral works and madrigals. We rehearse on Thursdays from 7:15-9:30 p.m. at the Mildred Owen Concert Hall, 1220 Linda Mar Blvd., Pacifica (the building with the mural). We are always on the lookout for singers with previous choral experience who are interesting in auditioning for our group."
