Elderly man charged with stabbing his wife follow-up, she is expected to survive

.... "Tony Lee, 84, was charged with three felony counts of attempted murder, domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. The man was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon, but was unable to come to court due to a medical issue he suffered in the jail.

Lee was booked into San Mateo County Jail early Monday, hours after he was arrested in the incident, Pacifica police Capt. Joe Spanheimer said. Lee's 72-year-old wife remained in critical condition Wednesday after being stabbed multiple times, though police say she is stable and expected to survive. Officers responded about 5 p.m. Sunday to the couple's home in the 400 block of Griffin Avenue after a family member reported Lee had stabbed his wife, Spanheimer said. ....  Spanheimer said.
