Do you think one code enforcement officer will be able to handle all the Ordinance codes. My guess is no! How many members on the council know Pacifica Ordinances Codes Chapter 9. -LITTER and Chapter 25.-Property Maintenance and nuisance Abatement. We need mores worker on the streets to look for and sight offences not on just complaints only basis. This town looks like sh.. and you are worried about rent control, which is going to cost over a half a million dollars to administer! And its BS that its costs will be cost neutral!Council should be directing staff to clean up this town...

The county wrote a letter to the city asking whether Pacifica still wishes to go forward with highway improvements. Reading it, I got the impression that the county is getting fed-up with the delays, and that Pacifica is at risk of losing all funding for traffic improvements.

Letter from SMCTA 5/30/17

Council is in a tough spot. I'm sure Keener, Digre and Martin would love to stop the highway widening, but it will look very bad if their non-action causes the city to lose all that money for highway improvements while having no back-up plan to deal with the traffic. My guess is they'll be willing to lose the money in order to stop highway widening, while trying to come up with ways to direct the blame away from themselves and towards Caltrans and the county for being unwilling to fund alternatives.

The "gang of no" run this city. It's been that way for 30+ years. Not a damned thing you "yessies & fixies" can do about it.

Tear in your beer!
