Happy news for our Public Works,
and needed housing conversation.
National Public Works Week and Pacifica’s Public Works Department, including Engineering, Field Services, and Wastewater, will be holding an Open House on Tuesday, May 21, 10:00 am to 1 pm at the 151 Milagra Avenue facility. Come see and learn about the vital programs and projects Public Works delivers to the community. Related, I’m pleased to announce that Wastewater’s Pedro Point Sewer Rehabilitation Project, completed last year, was awarded the 2019 Project of the Year Award in the Utility category  from the American Public Works Association-Silicon Valley Chapter! Congratulations!

The second community conversation meeting on housing issues will be on Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School. Dinner and child care will be provided to attendees. You can view an informational video about this partnership between San Mateo County-Home For All and the City. RSVP now to save your spot. Thank you to everyone who came and participated in the first conversation that was held on April 13. It was hugely successful, with more than 80 of you joining to lend your voice to this important community issue. A summary of the first meeting is here. Help spread the word to your fellow Pacificans to encourage their attendance as well.
