There will be more than golfers, in attendance, at this event. We shall also have many folks who don't play golf at all, in attendance, as well, for this is truly a community effort, consisting of golfers, non- golfers and all of their families and friends...

This 10/22 fundraiser is necessary to support the fight to save Sharp Park Golf Course. In that fight we have three major groups working together as allies, at present: The San Francisco Public Golf Alliance (SF golfers), the Sharp Park Golf Club(Pacifica and adjoining community golfers) and the new kid on the block...the "PACIFICA COMMUNITY COALITION TO SAVE SHARP PARK GOLF COURSE"(PCC) (golfers,non-golfers, and their families and friends).

That's our new bumper sticker that you are looking at! Wait til you see our "Save Sharp Park Golf Course" golf buttons...you'll love them!

The PACIFICA COMMUNITY COALTION TO SAVE SHARP PARK GOLF COURSE(PCC) enrolled 130 members at its formative meeting last month and since then has had several more members that have joined, after seeing us march in the Fog Fest Parade that very same month.

Our numbers continue to increase and we are looking for members from all over town, from Fairmont to Park Pacifica. We need you to stand with us.

We believe that the PACIFICA COMMUNITY COALTION TO SAVE SHARP PARK GOLF COURSE(PCC) will bring our community together for one common purpose: preserve affordable, eco-friendly golf, not only at present, but also for future generations of golfers to come...golf is a wonderful recreation for all, especially for our youth and our seniors.

Assemblyman Jerry Hill supports our efforts all the way. His primary reason is that it is an excellent recreation for seniors and let's face it, the opportunities for outdoor exercise in a competitive sport are not that many for the seniors of our society...but, it is also a sport that is enjoyed by all persons across the spectrum of society as well...for a variety of reasons.

The PACIFICA COMMUNITY COALITION TO SAVE SHARP PARK GOLF COURSE is a broad-based community effort that includes everyone, not just golfers. All that we ask is that you are ready, willing and able to support our efforts to save Sharp Park Golf Course. We welcome you to join us...

We are looking for folks who are willing to do any of the following: speak at civic meetings (City Council, Planning Commission, etc.);talk to neighborhood organizations or groups; host a neighborhood group meeting; write/send email messages to your friends; distribute flyers in your neighborhood; canvass door-to-door; make phone calls from a call back or anything else that might be needed.

Sharp Park Golf Course is not only a venerable, historical golf course, designed by world famous golf course architect, Alister MacKenzie, but it has also shown itself, down through these past 77 years, to be a wonderful nexus of the Pacifica Community, as well... Many social and fraternal events have taken place and continue to take place, not only on the Sharp Park Golf Course, but also at it's restaurant in it's historical clubhouse, that was designed by the world famous Willis Polk architectural design firm in San Francisco.

Please help us to save our beautiful Sharp Park Golf Course! If you are a person who believes in the intrinsic value and worth of this beautiful course and wants to help save this course, you are the person that we are looking for, whether you are a golfer or not. Our Coalition has been formed to include all citizens in this effort, especially those that don't golf, but still appreciate the game and the course...

All those interested in helping us with this challenge are invited to contact me so that we may discuss what's the best fit for you in helping us out...
