Reference. Pacifica Library Foundation, "Pacifica is seeking to rebuild and transform the Sharp Park and
Sanchez libraries into 21st century community centers and learning
spaces for all Pacificans, including our children, families, and
seniors. We have embarked upon a modernization project that envisions a new,
full-service Sharp Park Library with 7-day availability, and transforms
the Sanchez branch into an “Open Access” library with 7-day access to a
browsing collection, materials, and a community center. Please visit www.PacificaLibraryProject.com to learn more. Note: Sharp Park concept graphic from Pacifica Library Foundation.Posted by Kathy Meeh

If we must build a library, lets build one with personality.
What does Pacifica stand for?
What is our architectural, cultural, social and spiritual identity?
Neo-Classic?
Gothic?
Spanish-Colonial Revival?
Roman-Revial?
Italian Renaissance?
Oriental Architecture?
Japanese?
Frank Lloyd Wright?
Synthesis?
What can we do to help Pacifica gain a unique and befitting identity?
I am not sure if anything matters at this stage. this is an ongoing projects for years and was never progressed. now they can build any design even with no identity. what matters is to have a safe, competitive, high facility, working location that we do not have for years. our residents travel to neighboring cities for everything :
1)dining needs.
2)Shopping Needs.
3)Entertainment Needs.
4) library needs.
just name it.
let's not make it a difficult obstacle and please stop giving non sense comments to our city councils and officials.

This is Pacifica - what you're asking for is impossible.
Actually latest library proposal is well thought out and should be voted in.Creative financing?
