Reminder Democrats breakfast meeting, Saturday January 19, 2019

.... The Pacifica-Daly City Democrats Club’s January 19th meeting will begin at 9:30am in the rear banquet room at the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant.  Open to the general public... Breakfast is available, see article, also posted below, 1/8/19.

Speakers:   San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Carole Groom (President, 2019) and Don Horsley (Past President, 2017; and our elected Supervisor, District 3).

Interesting meeting:To solve housing crisis there is movement to establish regional authority to force cities not creating enough housing to do so or lose transportation funding.Rent control to start: 4 units or more cap on increases and 3 mos rent for eviction relocation expense.Idea to tap transportation funds to build homeless low cost housing.County doing everything to alleviate homelessness,but it continues to get worse. In addition, refugee women and children from Central America being provided sanctuary.Pacifica will have to battle to retain local control as plans emerge from state legislature to enact regional authority.

The Pacifica hypocrite NOBY's love the "nanny state".
It relieves them of the need to think critically or take responsibility for their goofy self serving propaganda.
