Item 7-Marijuana Regulations:any illegal marijuana businesses will be closed by City of Pacifica
Whaaaaaaaaaaatttt?
all that time and money and no revenue. I thought this was all we needed to create wealth for pacifica?
lol CA voters voted to legalize weed in 20-freaking-16 wtf how does this embarrassment of a town not have its freaking shit together yet
Pacifica Council direction seems to be 3 dispensaries on Palmetto and 3 Rockaway Beach.Lottery still has 2 left to fill the 2 increases.Total remains 6 legal.Seems sensible to concentrate marijuana businesses so police can keep under control.
That's all Pacifica needs, Easy to get weed for the dope smoking hippies. No wonder the City is so fucked up.
Cheers.
Why Rockaway? that would hurt property values .. 3 dispensaries is enough for Pacifica. These are not candy stores!
I'd argue that Pacifica doesn't actually need "smoke shops" / marijuana dispensaries. Now that it is legal, why can't it be sold directly from existing liquor vendors or pharmacies? What purpose does this rigmarole of additional licenses/stores serve?
There is no revenue to be had here. Voters legalized weed not because they wanted to run out in hordes and buy this narcotic. But because they did not want to be harassed and jailed for a personal treatment/indulgence. Government interference in this matter, other than backing off from punitive harassment, doesn't serve any purpose.
Nucking Fidiots!
Council Meeting: legal marijuana business complaint about Pacifica raising cap from 2 to 3, changing rules, and putting business investment at risk.
Pacifica changing Marijuana Business Ordinances is unfair ordinance application, while illegal, no caps,no excise tax marijuana businesses allowed operation.
Pacifica allowing bad business practices. What can happen?
this is about as well thought out at Nancy Hall/Jim Vreeland's Biodiesel plant at the Quarry!!!!
