SMC Democratic Party Chairman David Burruto to Explain New Re-Districting and Candidates Running for New Districts at Pacifica Democrats Upcoming Breakfast Meeting on 11/19th

On  Saturday November 19, 2011, Democratic Party County Chairman, David Burruto, will be the new guest speaker at the Pacifica Democrat's monthly breakfast meeting. He will not only explain the new (and somewhat confusing) re-drawing of the lines of both the state legislative and federal congressional districts, but also report on the candidates who have currently indicated their interest in running for the newly re-drawn Assembly District 22(old AD 19), Congressional District 14(old CD 12) and the newly created State Senatorial District 13, a district which will run from the City of Pacifica to Los Altos Hills. Additionally, he will give the morning diners in-depth information on what actions and events the Democratic Party has planned between now and the 2012 Presidential election.

Burruto will be replacing the originally scheduled Examiner columnist, Bruce Balshone, who had to cancel due to a recovery period, from a  recent surgery, being extended indefinitely.

In addition to being the Chair of the San Mateo County Democratic Party Central Committee, Burruto is the new Chief of Staff for the recently elected San Mateo County Supervisor, Dave Pine. Prior to that he was the District Director for State Senator Leland Yee of the California State Senate and Assemblyman Lou J. Papan of the California State Assembly. With a degree in Journalism from Ithaca College, Burruto also has previous experience as a Public Information Officer for the City of Berkeley.

The Pacifica Democrats breakfast meeting will be held in the rear Banquet Room of the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant, located at Sharp Park Rd and Hwy 1, in Pacifica. The meeting is opened to the public. It is neither necessary to be a club member, nor a Democrat to attend. A full breakfast is offered for $12; continental - $6; coffee only - $3. Doors open at 9:00am. Seating is between 9:00am and 9:30am. Meeting runs from 9:30am to 11:30am. For further information or to RSVP, please call 415-246-0775 or email barietta@hotmail.com.
