Item 8,Beach Blvd hotel development will have to wait until all coastal requirements met.It means 2yrs more delay before anything materializes.Council will not get needed revenue from site for years! Also, legal fees related to marijuana litigation going up, and not offset by marijuana excise tax revenue.A dismal revenue forecast for years, while Pacifica becomes attraction for homeless.
oneill gave away our neighborhoods to homeless RVs.

PCC 2/11/19 - Pacifica City Council Meeting - February 11, 2019 - YouTube
watch video 2:36 hours to 2:40
He supports:
community center used for homeless counseling and services
community ctr open overnight for housing.
city council chambers open for sleeping
community center lot open for RV parking and dump site
shuttle from north end of town RV groupings to bring homeless to community center for services
park RV east side fairway park neighborhood on SF owned land--old rifle range
use church parking lots on rotating basis to house RVs
Oneill is the guy the Yesies wanted.
homeless RV jabber was Oneill talking. Neighbors will not tolerate it. No onewill pay for it. But Oneill doesn't think.
these are new RVS that park for days infront of me, plus they dont sleep in the RVS, they park their hugh obstable which takes up 2 to 3 car lengths and then take off in their fairly or new car, obviously they have another place to sleep. They are todays priviliged on taxpayer money. i catch them all the time. They may fool alot of people but they dont fool me. And who calls them homeless when they have a roof over their head.
The Governor needs to get involved with this cramped city with only one freeway . He needs to put restrictions on RVS hogging the freeway in time of emergencies, and needs them to pay something, as they dont pay property tax. They want land provided by tax payers. We have to many schools with children that need to exit safety during time of emergencies, and this city has not provided a safety plan for that. Yet now they want to bring in these so called homeless rv owners, when how can they be homeless when they have a roof over their head, dont sleep in their car, they park their rv, and take off in their cars, I see it all the time, they park right in front of me , they have been doing it all year. They just want a freebie . When their is no access to exit out of an emergency, we should not be giving special priviliges to rv owners who watch our homes burn to the ground waving goodbye to us, as they are driving away in their fairly or new rvs, with their cars hitched to the back, hogging the freeway. stop this nonsense.I wrote the governor, and everyone should.
If the City provides parking on city (public) property then the city is liable for "anything and everything" that goes wrong .... fire, crime, litter, pollution, damage.
Is this what we are all agreeing to?
these rvs take up two to three car lengths many have cars and boats hitched to the back, there are to many cities and states in america that can supply their means, Pacifica does not have the means , the space, the money, or the freeways to meant their many demands, give these spoiled moveable home owners a map of rv parks around america and save our city.
oneill will give up shortly-- all the stuff he talked about has zero chance of being funded. The more people who hear about, the more oppose. He has limited follow-through. So just wait a week or so..
The sky is falling, the sky is falling !!! Do you honestly think our current CC is that weak?? A little faith goes a long way. Grab some popcorn oh yee of little faith. From my view only two are unmovable on the issue. Sometimes people with good vision wear glasses.
Heard Recology getting human waste in recepticles. What Pacifica doing about RV real health hazard?
e fairway opposed to homeless RVs. Unless council just talks to hear their own voice, I took the RV discussion seriously and canvassed many of my e fairway neighbors. 100% opposed to RVs driving thru the neighborhood to the old rifle range, and 100% opposed to any camping out at the range. Can't wait for neighbors around the community center and council chambers to be alerted to that RV squatting plan.
The city needs to figure how to turn these RV's into moving brothels. Think Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. If they can do it Pacifica can.
These Americans have a right to live in a RV. It's all they have many times. No one is going to build stacked housing in Pacifica and no land lord of apartment complexes is God and will solve the CRISIS. It is a crisis. Find a large piece of land and charge low rent spaces out to rv people. Connect property to water access and gas, solar. Many of the people who live in their rv are working everyday taking care of others. Find a large piece of land. Work something out with the owner, or if it is tax payer owned, make a deal. It's quick and requires very little building. It's a solution. Do not judge people who are living in their rv's. These are real Americans living a real hardship. And many of them work in the business's you frequent.
Talk about letting them park at the quarry or the 5 acres at Pedro Point. need owners permission. Sounds like a great option to helping those in need and two good locations.
Why does Riptide cover the coast and have so many more articles and posts than this blog?
Riptide is a money-making venture for John. Fix Pacifica is not a commercial enterprise, so there's little incentive to spend lots of time on it.
11:06. Excuses!
This blog is available for the community to submit announcements and articles for posting, upper left.
I bet John would be surprised to hear that Riptide is described as money-making.
Maybe it's more accurate to say John tries to make money with Riptide. Yeah, I doubt he can support himself from it.
But he makes more than you. It's all about profit!!
436, apparently for you "it's all about profit", whatever that small change argument means.
For others of us, there is value in supporting the ideas and effort to "fix this city for the balanced benefit of everyone" (as much as that continued quest may be possible).
John is colluding with capitalism? Shame. I can here him now. Arrest him!
