Highly recommend everyone look at NOAA....https://coast.noaa.gov/slr/ and pump it up to 2' then 4' then 6' and see where the real trouble is going to be. Pacifica will get off easy compared to the rest of the bay, including areas of the bay where most people are employed.
Highly recommend everyone read up on the sun turning into a red giant whose outer layers will consume Mercury, Venus, and Earth 5 billion years from now and see where the real trouble is going to be.
I also highly recommend the brownies at the Cannabis Wellness Center.
Neptune will get off easy compared to the rest of the solar system, including planets Mercury and Venus which are most closest to Sun. While on Earth, people will be busy discussing the point of life and wandering along the evaporating beaches of Pacifica wondering re-irrigation of wetlands to preserve the habitat for red legged frog and San Francisco garter snake. Meanwhile the Pacifica city council would be proposing hiring a consultant to study the effects of heat and pollution from rocket exhaust on evaporating oceans and also writing a strictly worded letter to leaders of all planets to urging a ban on Inter-space travel in an attempt to stop the fleeing tax payers!!!!
You can laugh all you want, but I think we need to get ahead of this thing. Managed retreat is nothing compared to what's awaiting us and I'm demanding that our Local Coastal Plan be re-written to include best practices with regards to the heat death of the universe. We need to plan NOW!
I'm also calling on Mayor Keener to begin a series of study sessions on construction of a Pacifica interstellar space pad and launch vehicle program. We can't afford this, you say? Um, hello?! We can't afford not to!!!
Still highly recommend those brownies, by the way.
Hello? Space travel is efficient with Methane a fuel. Being that our world has a large cattle population, Pacifica City Council should immediately consider investing in "Managed Capture" of escaping gases that are otherwise contributing to rising sea levels!!!
Great idea! But first, let's pay one of the local manure specialists (I think we have a whole lot of them to choose from) about $187,000 to produce a study that's sure to confirm it.
All the specialists are busy designing the required spaceflight for the initial "Managed Retreat" mission to Uranus. Given the far distance, they are confident about arriving on the dark side where the Sun don't shine.
A more serious discussion would be prudent. Google "hothouse earth." The news is all over this idea that the earth will be too hot to sustain human life in the not-too-distant-future. Sea level rise will be a very small issue compared to a hothouse planet.

We should all delete ourselves in anticipation of the eco-rapture.
Problem solved.
