Watch each debate on HR 29 and E-Cigs until resolved or more if you like. A little more lively with snarky sniping than our droll and often comatose Pacifica Council. If you took the time to view those clips, you may have been entertained as much as I was.
We've got the walking dead. DC is an eye-rolling hoot, but the best snarky sniping I ever saw was at some Brisbane Council Meetings a few years back. They had it all. Loons on the dais, loons in the audience, wicked stepmothers, cro-mags, the detox bound, femme fatales, homme fatales. Now, those people knew how to have fun.

Were there transgender wet t-shirts and dancing girls in Brisbane 11:41? The most fun part of brisbane was that skanky motel that used to be near Bayshore Blvd, which was laden with many local "characters" that got ripped down years ago. The town went down hill ever since.
@9:30....I like how Canepa is playing high and mighty and in these videos he gets kind of owned (made a fool of) by Guingona, the guy on the left who is bald and looks like Kojak. Canepa is made to look like a little boy.
AS for his residence...Rumor, high source, still rubbish unless you have got eyewitnesses seeing him sleeping in Pacifica. That's a heavy charge. I could care less if he lives in Pacifica, I do, its a fabu place...but the folks in DAly City might not be too pleased. An investigation needs to be conducted.
I did not like how Canepa endorsed measure V or the letter he wrote to Lionel Emde, which Mr. Emde posted on Riptide...invoking Bob Marley when Emde thought Chris Porter thought Marley, I mean Canepa was supporting Highway Widening, when in fact she was saying he supported economic development. Canepa should get 100 lashes with a wet noodle for each of those offenses.
I'm pretty sure Canepa keeps up with Pacifica blogs, because that letter to Emde didnt stay up very long on Riptide. So "el patron" of Pacifica and Mayor of DAly city David canepa are you reading this? You can come out now. WE won't tell. But you turned your back on Pacifica, "Native Son". I think thats pretty sad and underwhelming. Imagine a Pacifica Council with the "leadership" of DAvid Canepa on board? It's an alternative universe that could have been. He didnt have the cahunas to go up against Vreeland, DeJarnatt or Digre or Stone or the rest I guess. If I lived in Daly City I'd have a hard time voting for him.

Canepa was too chicken to run in Pacifica as a republican so he switched to being a democrat and ran over to Daly City.
He is always in Pacifica, and lives in Manor area.
Anonymous 715 liar, your lopsided campaign against the Daly City Mayor is over.
Before David Canepa was the Mayor of Daly City (elected to a city of 100,000+ people), he was the assistant to Leland Yee (probably the best part of Yee's office). He's no Republican, not that that matters since being Mayor of a city is non-partisan. Apparently Canepa has been an effective Mayor of a progressive city 2 1/2 x the size of Pacifica, he was reelected and the Daly City people like him. He has a very congenial, sweet personality; he's accommodating and gets "stuff" done.
But what matters is that your bastardly campaign against Canepa under anonymous cover is cowardly, and assumed to be misleading, false and deplorable. Since David Canepa grew up here, he may have family in the Manor area. (And should it be the case he lives in Manor area, and that's not a problem for our neighbor, Daly City, its nobody's problem). The question is what's your problem?
Last June there was the discussion above on "Fix Pacifica" that David Canepa, or someone posing as David Canepa participated in, regarding some of the City Council meeting exchanges between David Canepa and Mike Guingona on Vapor Shops and HR 29 during last June.
Kathy Meeh ultimately shut down the "lopsided" attack and discussion, but when reading the article and copying the links today to view the two videos, I discovered that both videos mentioned by poster "Still Concerned about Terrifying Predators" had been removed from the City of Daly City website. The written minutes did not give any flavor of the discussion that the poster and those fortunate to see them before they were deleted witnessed. The act of removing a public record like that reeks of censorship and I know that is not what David Canepa and his fellow Daly City Council members are about...or supposed to be about.
I'd like to challenge Mr. David Canepa to restore these two videos in their entirety for public viewing immediately. Or explain to us here the rationale for removing them? How might Mr. Guingona, Mr. Ledda, Mr. Torres, Mr. Buenaventura, Mrs. Klatt and Ms. Christensen and others in the Daly City community feel about these two videos or any online videos of Council meetings being removed? This reminds me of when the late San Francisco Sheriff Richard Hongisto removed free newspapers that were unflattering to him from newspaper racks all over San Francisco during the 70s or 80s. Something about a big nightstick was involved in the caption or photo. A man of David Canepa's stature should not be afraid and not have anything to do with removing access to public meetings online.
Kathy Meeh defended David Canepa in that chain....Would Kathy defend censorship? How do you think the community in Pacifica would respond to a Pacifica council meeting record being removed from view? It's a cover up. All politicians have embarrassing moments. But just because they are embarassing, David Canepa does not have the entitlement to revise, remove or change history. This is only supposed to happen in less than democratic societies. History has shown us what happens to such societies. I hope that Mr. David Canepa ends up on the right side of history and does the right thing to restore access to the videos in their entirety from March 24th and May 12, 2014 showing criticizable moments.
8/18/14, 9:33 AM, got a complaint with Daly City or their Mayor, take it up with the City of Daily City City Hall. Their website includes extensive city council meeting archives, including agendas, minutes and video.
David Canepa has appropriated "Da Mayor" from San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. I know Willie Brown, I've worked with Willie Brown, Mr. Canepa YOU ARE NO WILLIE BROWN!
