"An increase in graffiti in San Mateo, particularly along the Highway 101 corridor, is prompting a response by police and Public Works crews to eradicate it, according to police.

City staff and contractors will be removing graffiti on right-of-ways (such as utility boxes, sound walls and stop signs) and working with Caltrans to remove graffiti along Highway 101, which is in the Caltrans right-of-way. ...
