Life long Dem and she only reminds me of something from a Tim Burton movie. Animated movie. No one could cast her. Not breathing, anyway.

Lot of Pelosi haters here. Thank goodness 80% of the voters in the last election didn't feel the same way.

She is a commie lovin inside trader lacks all ethics democrat witch. When she signed and approved barry soetero's presidential nomination in 2008, falsely claiming he is legally eligible to be President. She knows he is a fraud. She should be tried for treason.

80% voted for her because they were all afraid she'd show up in their nightmares if they didn't!

"80% of the voters in the last election" voted for Nancy Pelosi. Anon 7:47 a.m.

She became Speak of the House of Representatives 2007-11, and is currently House Minority Leader from 2011. Plus: "She became the first female Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives and the first female Speaker of the House.... ".. she has served on the Appropriations Committee and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Pelosi has been a strong supporter of increased funding for health research and for other health care and housing programs and initiatives. She is also an advocate for human rights and the environment." biography.com. Our region can be proud of her accomplishments. Even though she was born into a family with a political tradition, she has had an amazing career.

Piece of cake-- she's the mother of 5 children, now age 72, advocate for human health causes, and she holds one of the most powerful political jobs in the United States.

she bought her position. she is one of the WEALTHIEST DEMOCRATS. Makes her wealth off of the benefits of her job. What a bitch.

Votes are never counted in California. If you think your vote counts you are not a informed voter. All elections are predetermined and already picked.

I remember, years ago, many ballot boxes, filled with votes and the lock still on, were found in the bay.

California is a joke.

Birther Anonymous 10:08 AM, your selective stupidity is preventable. You can write, so you can also read something other than far right-wing trash.

Insider trading. If true, what you stated above was all legal. Plenty of Republican political leaders have gained from insider trading in the past, along with lobbing favors which continue. Only recently has Congress past into law that insider knowledge is not legal.

Birth certificate, zzzz. President Obama has a legal Hawaiian birth certificate, short form (which is the Hawaiian standard), and archived long form. Verified again, 5/23/12, article.

Anon (10:38/10:08 AM), most all our Congressional Representatives are wealthy, figure that one out. Again, your view is polarized, without much reflection; coupled with vulgar language under an anonymous name-- not much to be proud of there!

"Votes are never counted in California."
Oh brother, tell that one to the County of San Mateo, or any other County. Registration is verified, and votes are are counted. Try "Shape the Future.com", the official elections website for San Mateo.

Too bad you don't remember exactly how some ballots ended-up in the bay, probably after they were counted of course.

Most are not wealthy. Like Rep-D Charles Rangel, who owes much money to the irs. He made his wealth once he was in congress. Although, did not manage his money very well. Another thief.

Obama was born in Hawaii, but misrepresented himself on school and college applications. Like Elizabeth Warren, obama claimed he was an exotic kenyan man, she..a Cherokee Indian. Even his publisher was in on the hoax and from obama's own pencil wrote his own biography that he was born in Kenya. You need to ask, what else is he lying about.

Nancy Pelosi, what is good for me is not good for you, made some of her wealth off of special privileged knowledge from her job. Legal or not, she made her wealth from her bought and paid for position.

California is a one party state. Democratically run for over 20 years. Ask yourself, are you better off?
That's the facts, jacks.

Wealthy in congress? 2010 Center for Responsive Politics average $14.4 million. Even better Same source individual net worth of Congressional Representatives. The information is 2 years out-of-date, but the trend is clear.

President Obama? Biography.com, or short version, easier to read Wikipedia. From Wikipedia: "Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004." Top schools, Harvard #1, Obama was the Editor of the prestigious Harvard Law Review. I know you think that honor was "given to him", because from your view he was "an exotic Kenyan man." Oh "Kenyan man", that was Obama's birth father, why not blurr reality? But, where was your father born, and his family before that? Its got to be somewhere on the planet.

The rest of what you say is just more background noise, but I'll leave you with the following from Roll Call (Capitol Hill newspaper, 9/13/10, "Rangel INQUISITOR has his own reporting problem." REPUBLICAN "Rep. Michael McCaul, one of the richest Members of Congress, appears to have failed to fully disclose dozens of stock transactions worth millions of dollars on his annual financial disclosure reports for 2008 and 2009." Sure you like your selective, warped version of reality, but people with a brain aren't buying it.

"Top schools, Harvard #1"

That's wrong. University of Southern California is #1.

Kathy Meeh said...

George, actually Harvard is only the #1 USA University, #2 World wide. US News 400 Top University Rankings, 2011. Still looking for USC, here it is 107. That's okay, one of the fun schools I attended, UCSB is ranked 118.

George Tirebiter said...

U.S. News is part of the lamestream media. Not fair and balanced at all.

Kathy Meeh said...

George, don't despair, maybe bite a tire or something-- you'll feel better. Just because US News rates universities and high schools based upon reasoned criteria, that's 2011. Maybe school excellence has slipped some since you were there. Anyhow "if you think it it must be true." Dog bone award for you!

"Nothing like stirring up the tea baggers.."

The problem appears to be yours, Anonymous. Think bigger than that.

Kathy Meeh said...

"Nothing like stirring up the tea baggers, etc." Anonymous 4:12 pm.

"Tea baggers" vs Tea Party member, and "Toss this blog in the crapper" vs report merited news. Don't you think what you said is offensive? Do think what you said in your comments improves blog dialog?

I think your "tea-bagger" comment may refer to 3 total right-wing commenters and 1 moderate Democrat commenter. These may be "Peolsi haters", but who cares? A street was named after a regional politician who has achieved high leadership esteem. Some of us think that's pretty cool-- apparently so did Mayor Ed Lee of San Francisco who named the street.

In effect you have used the reactionary comments as a wedge issue against the article posting itself, as if such information should be denied or burried. Burying of information and denial of factual conditions seems so "conditioned Pacifica".

Anonymous said...

And you post an article that has nothing at all to do with fixing Pacifica, and all the comments get hijacked by political extremists.

Perhaps you should go argue with the wingnuts in some more appropriate forum.

Kathy Meeh said...

"...you post an article that has nothing at all to do with fixing Pacifica.."

Anon 1037, your reasoning is flawed. While not trashing others, your apparent literal perspective suggests that Fix Pacifica wipe-out 99% of its articles. No thanks. The invitation to submit your own articles is listed in the upper left side of the blog. You will need to use your real name.

Anonymous said...

Whoa now anon@1037, wingnuts have feelings, too.

Anonymous said...

"Fix Pacifica wipe-out 99% of its articles"

Two slight edits... That should be "Fix Pacifica wipe-out 99% of YOUR articles". Also, despite whoever counseled you to do so, your unnecessary hyphenation does not absolve the prepositions you choose to place at the end of each clause.

Kathy Meeh said...

Anonymous 430, you've a genuine criticism insult machine. Trashing others who were singularly direct in their article complaints about a street named Nancy Pelosi). But you, you trashed them to trash 99% of the articles I post. That's hyphenation. "Hyphenation", really?

Let's talk about you? How do you justify your 5/26, 4:12 pm use of such vulgar words as "tea baggers" and "crapper"? These words speak more to your character than the value of your personal sensitivity to grammatical hyphenation, you know " - ". Visually " - " looks like nothing between the ears, but your toxic strategy indicates otherwise.

Waiting to see these "all important" Pacifica-centric articles from you, (love those descriptive " - " words).
Start posting articles, and lets see what you've got. Currently all you've got is criticism, and that looks like a whole lot of nothing in a small world.
