Millwood Ranch: More to the Story

Here's why you need to read Fix Pacifica before you go to sleep at night:  we report the things the Tribune, the SMCDT, and even our friends at Riptide won't report.

Take Millwood Ranch, for example.  Pretty significant story, one we've been following for a while because of our good friend in Park Pacifica who has been raising a stink about the "dirty" dealings for a while.

But did you know that Millard Tong is the defendant in not one but TWO Civil Actions?

Case CIV483079: LELAINIA SCAMMON VS. MILLARD TONG
Case CIV483350: JOEL S LEVINE VS MILLARD W TONG

Joel Levine's case is a simple Guarantor of a trust not fulfilling his financial obligations to the tune of $75,000

Click Here to Download Levine's Complaint

Lelainia Scammon's complaint is a little more salacious, with accusations specific to her employment at Millwood Ranch including sexual harassment, sexual discrimination, gender-based violence, wrongful termination, etc . . .

We wonder if Mister Tong will plead ignorance of the law for these incidents as well??

Did it ever occur to you that the supposed “good friends in Park Pacifica” that supplied you with this information just might have their own agenda being that Millwood ranch is their direct competition? It would be nice if they just ran their own business in a manner that would naturally encourage their clients to continue to patronize them, instead of using whatever tactics they can to destroy others that are doing well! I would like the people that read this blog to consider that there is always two sides to every story. I find it extremely unfair to not mention the good that Millard and Alicia Tong do for the community what gracious, generous, humble people that many, and I know them to be.
Millard and Alicia have rescued so many horses that had no other options; many of them would have had a horrible fate if not for the kindness of the Tongs and Millwood ranch. It can be an enormous expense caring for these horses. The Veterinary bills can be astronomical vaccinating twice a year having their teeth Floated the Ferrier cost every six weeks not to mention daily feeding and maintenance. When the horses resume heath, they are free to those who wish to adopt. Many of the people who adopted their horses from Millwood ranch never dreamed that horse ownership could be an affordable reality. I being one of these horse owners feel blessed everyday to own my beautiful horse and I know the majority of boarders that adopted their horse at Millwood, ranch feel as equally blessed!
People are human they make mistakes and they pay for their mistakes, but that does not negate all the wonderful things they do in the world! I am positive that all the mudslingers out there are not perfect individuals who have never erred in their actions, however I am almost 99.9 percent sure they do not give back to the community and lovingly care for animals and people in the magnitude that the Millard and Alicia Tong do.
I would also like to address the mention of the lawsuits and remind people that we live in the United States of America it is a fact the Law clearly states you are innocent until proven guilty!

Sincerely, Happy rescue horse owner DC

Then I guess this blog would be remiss not to post a link to the most recent lawsuit where Millard Tong is being sued by Engineered Soil Repairs?

Questioning Anonymous, you want to post a link to a recent lawsuit, is there something preventing you from doing that?

I posted a link to the lawsuit as a new topic.

To speak for ourselves, we are not the only people in Park Pacifica who are aghast at the goings on at #1 Picardo Court. Park Pacifica includes an entire community where I was raised and still live. Altho Mr. Tong is in direct violation of I don't know how many laws and fire codes we do run our business professionaly, with a City of Pacifica BUSINESS LICENSE, and with proper ZONING and INSURANCE. Don't slam our business to defend what is going on over the hill. Our "rescue " horses as well as all of our animals are well cared for and are not used as entertainment for numerous party goers and unskilled unsupervised hands. The support we lend the community can be traced long before our ownership of our business and expand beyond Pacifica. The law suits are not our fabrication so maybe you can hide behind anonymous but I will sign my name to my remarks. It was a friend/customer who brought me to this sight and surprised to find that we r being blamed for Mr. Tong's poor judgement. Maybe you need to look at the facts. Sincerely,
April Schneider /Park Pacficia Stables

April, I think most people do separate the Tong lawsuit from Park Pacifica Stable operations. And your positive, long-standing family reputation in this community is well known.

This is a public, community blog with generally a balanced-city economic bias. You are welcome to post both articles and comments anytime.

The "Dinner in the Dirt" event was posted on this blog by Jim Wagner.

Also, as of 6/29 those who post comments may continue to use real names or alternative pen-names but must register, so that should cut-down on some baseless commentary.
