Don Horsley named Board of Supervisors President in Pacifica, 1/8/12

Half Moon Bay Review, 1/3/13,  "Horsley becomes president."

Supervisor Don Horsley sworn in
San Mateo County Board of Supervisors
"Don Horsley adds “president” to his resume next week when he is tapped to hold the gavel for the San Mateo County Supervisors. There isn’t much intrigue prior to the coronation; Horsley has been vice president of the board for the past year.

Horsley was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2010 after a long career in law enforcement that included a stint as San Mateo County Sheriff.

Horsley, who represents the Coastside as the board’s District 3 supervisor, will be named board president during ceremonies in Pacifica on Tuesday, Jan. 8. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Terra Nova High School Theater, 1450 Terra Nova Blvd. in Pacifica."

Hopefully he didn't lie again. Lying under oath will get you in trouble. I guess the voters should have made him swear an oath when he made his campaign promises too.

Also, you link to the wrong article.

Thanks for "heads up" on the link. Link fixed, however FMV your brain is not, Anonymous 1:21 PM.

Guess Don Horsley will just have to be President of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, with pay and without your approval.

It's unbelievable that you still defend him. Apparently that lie wasn't big enough for you, so I'm curious -- what would Horsley need to lie about to lose your trust?

Quit, you're crazed, Anonymous 2:30 PM.

You lost that "Horsley promised no salary forever" argument on the "..Don Horsley finally begins taking pay article. Enough already!

And did you represent yourself as Michael G. Stogner (12/30/12, 8:37 AM) on that thread? You're no hero, and your motives are questionable. Additionally, your identity is hidden as Anonymous.

Now you talk about "trust"? Yes I trust Don Horsley to "do the right thing", and support progress for this city. But trust you? No.

But what has this guy done for Pacifica?

Ummmm

What an event for Pacifica! This is a bit of a gender-bender I know, but the occassion brings to mind the film Cleopatra and her highness rolling into Caesar's Rome all golden and flush. Not the scene on the barge with our royal wrapped in a rug. Not at all. The one with lions and tigers and bears and the crowd looking on at the golden extravagance of it all. Whoa, that litter bearer looks very familiar.

Re: Kathy Meeh at 2:30p.m.

Just curious, but is there something wrong with posting as 'Anonymous?" I think you are the blog coordinator, so if you object couldn't you delete that option? That's what the HMB Review editor did to stop the negative anonymous posts. He made readers register under their actual names in order to post a comment. Would this also work for the FixPacifica Blog?

Anonymous, 12:46 PM, if there's an answer for you, it will come from Steve Sinai, Fix Pacifica Blogmaster.

And my blog title is "Anonymous," or "default article poster", I do not coordinate. More people should post articles, then I could lose the second title.

Kathy, takes this blog wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to seriously.

we tried commenter registration at one point, and I got a lot of emails from people who thought it was too complicated.

The Blogger software that runs the site doesn't have an option that allows people to register with an email, which is what I (and many others) would like to see.

In the swearing-in ceremony, Horsley said he was committed to helping Pacifica fund and build a new library. Does anyone know what the time limit on that promise is? Or do we just wait until he breaks it like last time?
