Pacifica Index will give us the run down on the city council meeting tonight. Probably tomorrow.

We wait with breathless anticipation. Grateful for the Index but aware of the dismal performance to be recounted.

a brief recap

First meeting of the new council.

Karen kept saying ummmmmm all night to the point she was annoying. I thought intelligent people never say ummmmmm

Len=deer in the headlights.

Mary Ann=wants to be the only council member that talks

Sue=earth to Sue earth to Sue

ONeil=keeps saying remember that one time on the school board Umm Karen remember that one time.

This coucil will go down in history as another failure

From what I saw of the city council meeting it was excellent. Mayor Len Stone ran a good meeting. City council members (4)were intelligent, informed; and the city council conversational exchange was thoughtful. Karen Ervin and Mike O'Neill were easily able to join and contribute from their prior school board experience. Great start!

From what I saw.

another city council apologist!

That meeting was hysterically funny. Was that the goal? It really felt like there had been another earlier meeting on another channel. That's a familiar feeling. I think with this group it may be hard to shake although the new members could surprise us.

I think somebody should check Len Stone for bruises before these meetings.

Finally, a majority Council who doesn't think the the only road to prosperity is a hiking trail, and all you losers can do is criticize.
Choke your childish rants and get the hell out of the way!

I'm very interested in what this council thinks and what they actually do. Seems like a lot of that will be done "off-site" by sub-committees, study groups, consultants, more consultants. Will it also be done "out of sight" as in secret and not transparent? There are those tendencies on this council. High hopes for O'Neill and Ervin to keep it transparent.

nyuknyuk, you so silly. this council has sky high probability for internal strife, fracture and paralysis. what else is new?

Fracture, internal strife and a little paralysis is democracy. Killing Pacifica so frogs and snakes can roam freely is much, much worse.

I wouldn't for a moment rule out getting both with this bunch. Stay tuned.
