There go more jobs. Instead of banning plastic bags and forcing business's to lay workers off,, Jobs could be created collecting and recycling plastic bags.
don't we already do that?
Good thinking. Let's not ban something that pollutes the environment and kills wildlife because it might result in a few workers being laid off. Instead, let's employ people to collect those plastic bags and recycle them. Oh, there will be some bags that don't get collected and will still kill wildlife and pollute the environment but that's a small price to pay for keeping jobs for people making plastic bags. And the taxpayers can pay for the new jobs collecting and recycling. Good plan all around.
change is hard and inevitable
We never needed the plastic shopping bag. That was a creation of the oil and plastic industry.
Brown paper bags worked fine for a couple hundred years before plastic bags.
The oil and gas industry has created hundreds of thousands of jobs you moron. You people have no clue the kind of world you are creating with all your bans and anti-corporation propaganda. YOU CANT LIVE IN THAT WORLD. You couldn't survive. Oh, and now cutting down trees is fashionable again. Pathetic.
What we need here as well is more aimless and mindless rage.
