CA Senator Leland Yee
Pacifica Tribune/Barbara Arietta, Correspondent, 10/10/12. "State Senator Leland Yee guest speaker at Democrat's meeting."

....  "Just days away from the Nov. 6 election, Senator Yee will discuss Governor Jerry Brown's tax proposal and its ramifications, as well as other initiatives on the November ballot.

In 2012, Yee had 15 pieces of legislation chaptered into law. Yee's bills focused on government transparency, juvenile justice, environmental and consumer protection, public safety and election integrity.

In addition, the Secretary of State recently implemented Yee's SB397 (2011) to create an online voter registration system. Californians can now register at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. (Approximately 220,000 Californians have used the new online voter registration system during its first two weeks of operation.)

A brief list of other recent bills either authored or co-authored by Yee and signed into law include: new legislation to provide new protections from unfair evictions for survivors of domestic violence and elder abuse; same day voter registration; and a bill that will help stop Brown Act violations. However, among the most notable is SB 9, the Fair Sentencing for Youth Act, which will give youth serving life without parole an opportunity to earn a second chance. The United States is the only country in the world to sentence youth to life without parole."  Read full article, and for more information.

They should serve shark fin soup in his honor.

Not that you know nor do you care who you insult. Shark Fin Soup is a delicacy served by Asians for 1000's of years.

Also consider the fins are cut off the sharks and they are allowed to die and sink to the bottom of the ocean.

Try to think before you post?

I have no respect for this guy. I contacted his office twice and nobody ever got back to me.

and how does this differ from our other elected officials? I have written to both our Senators on numerous issues and have never received any response. But now I am on their email lists. I just put em in the SPAM folder. I guess if I attached a check they would to finance their election they would have written me back, but probably just a thank you and not addressing any of my concerns.

Once they know you're from Pacifica
they lose all interest. Unless there's a photo op of course.

Yeah I phoned and emailed about an urgent matter with our company in San Francisco. Contacted him twice, never heard a peep.

I have always gotten a reply from Feinstein, Boxer and even Jackie Speier.

You'd think Yee would do a better job for his direct constituency than anybody in DC. He knows Pacifica real well. David Canepa, a Pacifica kid and current Daly City councilman, is of course no longer on his staff. Probably makes it easier to ignore us. Go to Jackie.

so Leland is coming to lie to Pacifica and Daly City for a couple of hours. He's good at it.

Go to Jackie or Jerry Hill the only two hard working politicians around. I have run into a few around the state capital, but!
