The last General Plan was updated 32 years ago. 20 years is the usual time a City General Plan is updated unless a city has growth, then 10 years. 25 years into the future Pacifica's population is expected to grow by 2,500, not more than 900 housing units maximum. There is 16,000 acres which can be built-on (not completely of course).
For those who missed the meeting information is available on the city website.
Next step. If funded through the 2012-13 budget, the EIR process could begin, with the final completion of the General Plan by July, 2013.
