Government this week in San Mateo neighbor cities


"Redwood City - Monday.  City Council, City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, 7 p.m.: The council is scheduled to receive a report on the California High Speed Rail and vote on whether to approve two downtown farmers markets, and confirm the mayor's appointment of two members to the redevelopment dissolution oversight board.

East Palo Alto - Monday.  Planning Commission, City Hall, City Council Chambers, 2415 University Ave., 7:30 p.m.: The commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the draft Environmental Impact Report and Specific Plan for the Ravenswood / 4 Corners plan for development within 350 acres in the city's northeast quadrant. Tuesday - City Council, Council Chambers, City Hall, 2415 University Ave., 7:30 p.m.: The council is scheduled to approve its 2012 list of "strategic priorities and goals," vote to authorize the interim city manager to purchase two police vehicles, discuss the general fund mid-year budget review, and make decisions regarding the use of Measure C funds.

San Carlos - Monday.  Oversight Board — Successor Agency to the San Carlos Redevelopment Agency, Council Chambers, City Hall, 610 Elm St., 2 p.m.: At a special meeting the board is scheduled to elect a chairman and vice chairman and issue a request for proposals for legal counsel, auditor or financial advisor for the board. 

Woodside - Wednesday.  Planning Commission, 2955 Woodside Road, Independence Hall, 7:30 p.m.: The commission is scheduled to hold public hearings on two different cellular equipment proposals: one for Extenet on the La Honda Road portion of Highway 84, between Skyline Boulevard and Woodside Road; and a second for AT&T at 17288 Skyline Blvd., the site of Alice's Restaurant.


Atherton - Wednesday.  City Council, Council Chambers, 94 Ashfield Road, 7 p.m.: The council is scheduled to receive a presentation on prison realignment from San Mateo County Assistant Sheriff Trisha Sanchez and select a recruitment firm for conducting a search for a permanent city manager."
